This is a course grounded in neuroscience, designed to facilitate a radical shift in your state of mind. Over the next 10 days you will learn the tools to shift your default, auto-pilot response from one steeped in reactivity, stress, anxiety and worry to one of calm, creativity and confidence, allowing you to live from a place of peace instead of fear. Together, we will identify why stress occurs and how to eliminate it from your life, work towards maximising your problem solving ability and cognitive strength, and reduce shame-based stress reactions so you can function with greater self-confidence, self-direction and self-esteem. By transforming your mindset, you can rewire your brain to develop the creative intelligence to succeed at your goals, as well as the emotional and social intelligence that enables you to find joy in your work, peace in your life, and harmony in your relationships.

A Perfect Storm Of Stress
A stressful state of mind shrinks higher order brain networks that drive intellectual, emotional and creative intelligence. Conversely, a positive mindset expands higher brain networks. In this session you'll learn about the neurological power of attitude to activate brain functions that either promote a successful, rewarding life or a life of stress, struggle, and depression. You’ll also learn a process that breaks the brain pattern that drives the everyday stress reactions you experience.

Accentuate The Positive, Eliminate The Negative
Some people think of peace and happiness as too impractical for succeeding in our fast paced, high intensity world. They think it represents complacency and passivity that leads to losing your edge. Make no mistake, 225 studies prove that when it comes to succeeding at work and at life, nothing is more practical than the higher brain function we activate when our emotional state is positive, happy and at peace. In this session you will learn a tool that accentuates the positive in your daily life and another tool that eliminates the negative, enabling you to respond to stressors intelligently, with greater calm, creativity, and clarity.

The Question At The Bottom Of Stress
Biologically, stress is fear, meaning it is happening in you more than to you. It’s the way human beings generate all sorts of stressful events purely in our heads, producing upsetting emotions that imagine a threat, sending the mind and body into an uproar, when often no real threat exists. In this session you will learn two tools that can liberate you from fearful and counterproductive thinking.

Switch Your Brain's Default To Stress-Free
Worried, anxious thinking can become a habit, wiring your brain's auto-pilot for stress. It's called rumination and it generates a pessimistic state of mind. What science has learned about habit formation is that there’s a loop that starts with a 'cue' that stimulates a 'routine' and in turn, prompts you to achieve a 'reward'. When practiced long enough, this becomes an automatic response. In this session, you'll turn your growing awareness of stress and fear into your cue, stimulating you to practice a stress busting tool (your routine), leading to your reward, which is the positive experience of peace and happiness that generates the brain power to excel.

Peace And Happiness Are Already In You
The brain often generates repetitive, incessant negative thinking which releases stress hormones that can damage our DNA. In this session, you will learn a simple form of awareness that unclutters your mind, quiets the negativity, and opens you to the peace and happiness that arise naturally when we quiet the mind.

Tapping Into Your Creative Brain
Science once thought that people were either genetically gifted with creativity or not. Research has since established that this is not the case. So why do some people seem more creative than others? One reason is that highly creative people have figured out how to tap into the brain’s inherent creative power and by the end of this session, you will know how to do it too. By tapping into this power, you can generate the creative insight that solves a problem, turns an idea into a practical innovation, or helps you think out of the box to come up with a more promising approach when old approaches fail.

The Three Attitudes That Succeed At Relationships
Every day we interact with people at work and at home, and these exchanges either have a positive impact or generate the stress and conflict that detracts from positive and successful outcomes. Research shows that the positive regard, authenticity and empathy we extend in face to face encounters contributes significantly to our success and well-being. By the end of this session, you’ll have a greater understanding of these three attitudes and how to apply them in creating great relationships.

Forgiveness Is The Key To Happiness
We fail at love more than we may care to admit, in part because past hurts amplify the stress gene, which activates the brain’s fear center, making us defensive and untrusting. Forgiveness provides the means for erasing the hurt and restoring happiness. Forgiveness is a gift we give our self. By the end of this session, you will have enhanced your ability to free yourself from grievances, small and large, and to move on.

Your Unconditional State Of Worthiness
Researchers have found that your essential nature is enormously positive and worthy of unconditional respect, and yet upwards of 80 percent of us struggle with shame. Why? We live in a shame-based culture where many of our social institutions use shame and comparison as a way of controlling people. Shame is extremely stressful. It is the fear of being criticized, judged, rejected, or devalued that calcifies into the self-defeating belief that “I'm not good enough.” There is only one shift we need to make to transcend shame to experience our immeasurable self-worth and by the end of his session you’ll have a clear path to it.

Pointing Yourself In The Right Direction
In this final session, we'll integrate what we've learnt over the previous lessons into a set of 12 simple principles. These principles support your practice of eliminating stress and anxiety from your everyday experience and accentuating the peace, creativity and happiness that is the foundation of a productive and fulfilling life.
