Lektion 1
Faith
In this lesson about the power of faith, students will learn how to find confidence in oneself to overcome addictions and surmount its various causes and conditions. Students will learn how to deepen personal convictions or beliefs in a Higher Power of choice, and to strengthen relations within their spiritual communities, families, and friendships. Students will also learn how the 3 Jewels – Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha – relate to faith and how awareness of these concepts fortifies all aspects of recovery.

Energy
In this lesson about the power of energy, students will discover how to cultivate necessary personal levels of strength in order to nourish and maintain recovery. Students will learn how to share their energies and assets with those in need in order to strengthen their sanity and sobriety and become a living example to others who may be weak, powerless, lost, or in need of help. Students will also learn how Right Thought, Right Speech, and Right Action are natural manifestations of our energy in recovery.
Lektion 3
Mindfulness
In this lesson about the power of mindfulness, students will learn how awareness of mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual states of being protect the mind, body, and spirit from addictive mental patterns and unwholesome actions. Students will learn how mindfulness leads to purity; helps all beings transcend sorrows and sufferings; and ultimately leads to liberation. Students will also learn about Buddhanature, and how awareness of this state of pureness or perfection within all beings can set us free.
Lektion 4
Concentration
In this lesson about the power of concentration, students will learn to become a safe refuge of inner calm and peace unto oneself. Students will deepen their capacity to discover the seed of Buddhanature within all sentient beings. Students will also learn how the 4 Immeasurables – Love, Equanimity, Compassion, and Joy – relate to all stages of recovery.
Lektion 5
Wisdom
In this lesson about the power of wisdom, students will learn the virtue of discerning reality as it truly is within the present moment. Students will learn how spiritual wisdom acquired through diligent practices helps us overcome ignorance and cravings so we can transform psychological and emotional triggers and traumas that lead to addiction. Students will also learn about the 3 Doors of Liberation – Aimlessness, Signlessness, and Emptiness – and how these pathways to peace sustain lasting recovery.
