Lektion 1
Structure
The structure of this course and how you can derive the maximum benefit from it are discussed in this first session. Also, there is a meditation practice. This particular practice is not designed to send you to sleep. In this practice, we work on the underlying cause which is affecting your sleep.
Most of the research has shown that when we're using meditation specifically to change our sleeping patterns, we improve the rest that we get at night. It's actually more effective if we do it during the day ahead of time.

Sleep Time One
As you would have guessed, it's a bedtime session, which means it is to be used when you are in the bed at night. In this course every day, we are going to end with a sleep time session. These sessions will help us to wind down from our day and drift into a deep sleep, more quickly and regularly.

Insomnia
This session presents some interesting or rather alarming facts about insomnia based on various research and studies. This will helps you recognize that you are not alone in your sleep struggle and that lots of people really struggle with sleep with insomnia being a big problem in our current society.
The discussion is followed by a meditation which works on the underlying cause of our sleep problems.

Health & Good Sleep
Yesterday's session discussed how sleep deprivation affects our personal health. Now, to encourage us in making good sleep a high priority, this session focuses on the positive side, the benefits derived from 7 to 8 hours of good sleep.

Every day in our daytime meditation practice, we have a bit towards the end of the practice that's this idea of just letting the mind go. In that part of the practice, many people say the mind is experienced being particularly at peace. This session further discusses the idea of letting the mind go.

An Ayurvedic Remedy
Ayurveda is an ancient system of health care that is native to the Indian subcontinent. In this session, a remedy for better sleep from Ayurveda is discussed.

Minimum Sleep
Many of us sometimes wake up in the middle of the night or too early in the morning. And then we lie there thinking if I should wake up? Or should I try to get some more sleep? This session prepares us for a situation like the above.
