Lektion 1
The Problem: Living On Autopilot Mode
In this lesson, you will explore the concept of "autopilot mode" and how it affects your daily life. You’ll begin by noticing how often you go through routines without being fully aware or present, missing out on life's simple pleasures. You will recognize how much of your time is spent distracted—whether by repetitive thoughts or multitasking—which can detract from your well-being. This lesson includes a brief mindfulness practice focusing on your breath, helping you understand how easily your mind can wander and assess your present-moment awareness. Consider this lesson a wake-up call to deepen your engagement with life.
Lektion 2
The Solution: Finding The Extraordinary In The Ordinary
In this lesson, you will discover how to find extraordinary moments in your everyday life. I’ll begin with a personal story of overcoming anxiety and depression, illustrating how peace is not a distant goal but something accessible in the present. You will be guided through an exercise focusing on your hands, helping you experience how even the most familiar things can evoke awe when observed with curiosity. This lesson highlights the beauty and wonder hidden in simple tasks, like washing dishes and enjoying your morning coffee or tea, through mindfulness. By the end, we will redefine the meaning of the word “extraordinary” in your mind—realizing that it’s not about adding something extra to the ordinary, but rather seeing more within the ordinary itself.
Lektion 3
Guided Meditation: Beautiful Moments Of Your Life
In this lesson, you will rediscover the sense of joy, wonder, and magic that you often felt as a child. Through guided meditation, I will invite you to revisit special memories from your life—moments filled with awe and enchantment. Toward the end, you will be invited to reflect upon the three magical ingredients that made each of these moments special. Uncovering those ingredients will bring that same spark of childhood into your daily routines as an adult. In the next lesson, I will reveal the first of these ingredients and explore practical ways to integrate it into your life today.
Lektion 4
Key Ingredient 1: 1st Time Experience
In this lesson, you will discover three key ingredients for rediscovering joy, beauty, and wonder in your daily life: seeing everything as new, engaging your senses, and adding fun to routine activities. You will learn the importance of perceiving even familiar experiences with fresh eyes. A guided meditation focused on breathing and sensory awareness will help you experience the uniqueness of each moment fully. As the lesson concludes, you'll receive a simple homework assignment designed to deepen your understanding of these concepts.
Lektion 5
Key Ingredient 2: Sensory Awareness
This lesson explores the second key to rediscovering joy: sensory awareness. It helps you reflect on how, as children, we experience the world vividly through our senses, but as adults, we live more in our heads, missing the moment. The lesson guides you through an exercise of tuning into sounds, textures, and sights around them to reawaken their sensory awareness. To conclude, you’ll receive three prompts to reconnect with this sensory experience when you go back to your life.
Lektion 6
Key Ingredient 3: Add Fun & Playfulness
This lesson introduces the third key ingredient for transforming the ordinary into extraordinary: playfulness. Drawing inspiration from the way children find joy in simple activities, the lesson offers playful suggestions to add fun to your current life, such as turning chores into games or using imagination during daily activities. I also share personal examples of how exactly I include this ingredient into my own life and from whom I learned to do so. This lesson is a gentle invitation to reconnect with your inner child.
Lektion 7
Guided Meditation: Familiar Indoor Space
In this lesson, you will be guided to view a familiar room in your home or workplace in a completely new way. By imagining that you're entering the room for the first time, you will explore often-overlooked details, from the ceiling to the floor. By observing with curiosity, you will notice the familiar room transforming into a whole new world. The lesson also incorporates playful visualization exercises, to further enhance your engagement with the environment. The lesson will end by inviting you to say goodbye to the room & reflect on your experience of it.
Lektion 8
Guided Meditation: Familiar Outdoor Space
In this lesson, you will be guided to transform your routine outdoor walks into explorations of discovery and wonder. It's best to listen to this lesson when you can be outside. Feel free to either take a new path or observe your usual route with fresh eyes, noticing small wonders. As you go through this meditation you will deepen your connection to the environment around you, through mindful observation and playful games. If you feel like going out, a simple challenge is given towards the end to enhance your awareness of outdoor space without having to leave home.
Lektion 9
Guided Meditation: Familiar Object
In this lesson, you will be guided to explore a familiar, everyday object with fresh eyes, focusing on its intricate details often overlooked. Through mindful observation, you will be invited to reflect on the object's history, current state, and subtle changes over time. The exercise encourages using multiple senses—sight, touch, hearing, and smell—to deepen your understanding of the object. This lesson aims to shift perception, fostering a deeper appreciation for ordinary everyday objects by highlighting their impermanence.
Lektion 10
Guided Meditation: Familiar Activity Or Daily Chore
In this lesson, you will be guided to infuse mindfulness into daily tasks, transforming mundane chores into moments of presence and connection. By slowing down, being intentional and focusing on the five senses —hearing, touch, sight, smell, and taste—you will learn to immerse yourself fully in the routine activities. Towards the end, you will be invited to choose a daily chore, like mopping the floor or typing, & pay close attention to sensory details you usually overlook. This lesson aims to shift focus from merely completing tasks to fully experiencing each moment as it unfolds, as you do these tasks.
Lektion 11
Storytime: The End
In this final lesson, you will be treated to a whimsical story featuring inanimate kitchen objects—Luna the coffee bean, Aqua the water, Velvet the mug, and Claire the sugar bowl—each reflecting on their purpose and shared journey. The story serves as a metaphor for finding wonder, joy, and beauty in everyday life. The course ends with an invitation to continue your journey with my other mindfulness courses.
