Hello,
And welcome to Deep Sea Meditation.
My name is David,
And let's get really comfortable.
You could be sitting up,
Or if you prefer,
Lying down.
I'm going to take a deep breath in,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
And exhale.
So,
I want you to picture yourself going into your memory,
A time that you were at the beach.
And I want you to really get into your body in this memory.
What is the temperature?
What is the season?
What are the clouds doing?
What color is the ocean?
Is it deep blue,
Or is it gray,
Or green?
Is the sand hot?
Are you in a blustery,
Windy beach with rocks and craggy cliffs?
Are you in a perfect,
White sand beach with palm trees and beautiful,
Light,
Cool breeze?
Or is it so hot that the sun is pushing your body deeper and deeper into the sand?
And are you alone?
Are you with someone?
And if you are alone,
Imagine you're with someone that you love the most in the world.
It could be a parent,
Or a child,
Brother,
Sister,
Sibling.
And then you're getting really hot.
The sun is out,
It's the middle of the day,
And it's beating down on your skin.
And it feels so good.
And you're relaxed,
And you're breathing,
And you're with your breath.
And you can feel the waves coming in and going out.
And your breath starts to align with the tide.
And now the sea is calling to you.
The sea is calling,
And so you stand up.
And you feel the sand in your toes,
And the wind on your skin,
And your hair,
And you're walking towards the ocean.
And the waves are coming in.
And you feel your breath align with the tide.
And as the waves come in,
You breathe in.
And as the waves go out,
You breathe out.
And then your toes hit the water,
And it's cold,
But you like it.
And then you walk toward the horizon,
Forward and forward.
And the sea is calm,
And there's little ripples and little waves,
And you're moving toward the horizon.
And the sun is getting a little lower on the sky.
And the water is up to your calves.
And then your knees.
And then your thighs.
And your waist.
And your abdomen.
And your arms,
And your shoulders.
And your neck,
And your chin,
And your mouth,
And your nose.
And your eyes,
And then your head,
And your under.
And you can see everything.
You can see the fish,
And the coral,
And the sand,
And it's teeming with life.
All kinds of creatures,
And neon,
Coral,
And crabs,
And jellyfish.
But nice ones.
Octopuses.
And it's teeming and teeming with life.
But you realize that you're not running out of breath.
And actually,
Your skin can breathe for you.
So you dive.
And the water goes from clear to cerulean.
And a lighter blue,
Azure.
And then a deeper blue,
Royal blue,
Navy blue.
Darker and darker.
And the water's getting a little colder,
But it feels delightful after being in the sun.
And you're so amazed you can breathe.
And your skin is breathing.
And in fact,
You feel like you've never had so much oxygen.
And your mind is very clear,
And your body is very alive.
And the oxygen is pouring through you,
And you're swimming down and down.
And it's getting darker,
But you're not afraid.
You can breathe just fine.
And now it's quiet.
And it's dark.
And the pressure gets bigger and bigger.
And it pulls you down.
And it's just silent.
And completely dark.
And you can't see anything.
But you're at peace.
Your mind is totally quiet.
There's nothing in there but your joy,
And your peace,
And your love,
And your contentment,
And your safety.
And down,
And down.
And all the people you've ever loved,
That have crossed over,
Are coming to you in your mind,
In your heart,
Saying hello and moving along.
And you just stay there.
Start to begin your ascent.
And you're going up and up.
And the pressure gets a little lighter.
But you're still okay,
You're breathing.
And then you start to see the light come back.
And you're midnight blue,
And royal blue,
And deeper shades of blue,
And then getting lighter,
And robin's egg blue,
And cerulean again,
And azure again,
And the palest,
Palest blue until you surface.
And you take a big deep breath back into your lungs.
Surrender.
