Welcome to this Qi meditation.
Qi is a Chinese expression symbolizing the vital energy that's flowing within us.
You can say that when yin and yang are balanced,
Our Qi flows easily and creates movements.
Energy wants to be in movement.
If that's not the case,
We experience stagnations,
Which can lead to physical pains,
Mental blocks,
Etc.
So working on your Qi is such a powerful tool.
I want to invite you to sit down,
Close your eyes,
Make sure your spine is nice and long,
And that you're breathing in and out through the nose,
Feeling your eyelids getting heavy.
Notice how you're sitting here presently.
Feel that you are breathing into your lungs.
Feel how you're breathing into the upper part of your lungs,
The middle part of your lungs,
The lower part of your lungs.
Feel them expanding in the front,
On the back,
And on either side.
Feel the expansion inside your lungs.
Still with this expansion of your lungs,
Breathe all the way down to your kidneys.
You can imagine the shape of your kidneys.
Pretend that you're breathing into these kidneys.
Imagine that you can expand them from the inside to the outside with every in an exhale.
Imagine them growing bigger,
Growing more expansive,
Expanding your kidneys with your breath.
Feel the life energy,
Your Qi,
From your lungs to your kidneys.
These pair of organs working together,
Supporting the constant movement of your Qi,
Of your energy.
Take another few slow breaths here.
Feel the energy flowing within you,
How you're vitalized.
Feel the energy within the next cycle or two of your breath.
Let go of this awareness.
Slowly return to the room,
Gently opening your eyes,
Coming back to life.
I hope you can take this sensation of energy flowing freely within your body throughout the rest of the day.
Thank you for being here.
