Sometimes we get stuck in a single perspective. Frustration takes over and we forget we have a choice - we always do. This visualization gives you just that - the power of choice. The choice is yours - it's always yours.

Welcome.

Today we're going to do a visualization on perspective.

So please sit down,

Close your eyes,

Connect your feet to the ground beneath you,

Take a nice deep breath in,

Let go and sigh it out.

Do that once more.

With your eyes closed,

See if you can connect to the earth.

Notice how the fabric of your clothes touches your skin.

Notice all the parts of your body that feel the air around you.

That might be your hands,

Your face.

Notice the temperature.

Feeling this sense of calm and roundedness in your body.

Start paying attention to the thing or the thought that frustrates you.

The thing where you need a new perspective.

See if you can locate where in your somatic experience that this thing,

This frustration is held.

So where in your body is it located?

Is it in your throat,

Your heart,

Your shoulder?

So locate the physical place that you're holding this frustration and place your hand where you're noticing this ickiness,

This discomfort.

Feeling the warmth of your hand against the discomfort,

The frustration,

The thing that you're here to see from a new perspective.

And allow it to be here.

It doesn't have to go away.

It's part of your humanness unfolding.

Still holding your hand to this space on your body.

Take another deep breath in.

Fill up your lungs and exhale.

Do it again.

Now allow some space to be created around this ickiness,

Around this discomfort.

Notice how it softens in its edges.

Set the intention to allow it to flow.

Now I want you to start zooming out from holding your attention on this place of discomfort,

This sense of ickiness.

Zoom out.

See yourself from the outside.

Notice how you're holding yourself and zoom out again.

This time seeing yourself in the room you're sitting in.

Notice how you're starting to create a distance,

Distance between yourself and the discomfort.

Before zooming out again,

Look at the discomfort.

Notice how you're increasing the distance to it.

Zoom out again.

It's time to the building that you're in.

Maybe it's your house,

An apartment.

Zoom out.

See yourself.

Breathe in and out.

And then zooming out again to the city you live in.

Zoom all the way out,

Seeing the country you live in.

Notice the distance.

Notice how everything gets smaller.

Zoom out again.

Zoom all the way out,

Seeing the entire globe.

Notice how big the world is.

Look at the peaks of the mountains,

All the blue that's the ocean.

Look at the beauty.

Notice how that thing feels in your body when you're zoomed out.

Now zoom out once again,

All the way out to the Milky Way and stars.

Seeing all these balls of energy,

Feeling the vibration of the universe.

Notice how far you distanced yourself from whatever it is that's bothering you.

And out here amongst the stars,

Start feeling the sensation of peace.

Find your stillness amongst the stars,

Intentionally creating space between yourself and what is causing the discomfort.

Breathe here.

Notice the vibrations,

The frequencies.

Notice the calm,

The quiet,

The stillness.

Slowly start zooming in,

Zooming all the way back to this present moment,

Back into your body,

Noticing your hands,

Your feet,

The softness of your lips.

Feel how you're landing in your body again,

Bringing this sense of calm.

Now place your hands above your eyes,

Again feeling the warmth of your palms over the eyes.

And behind these palms,

Make space enough for you to slowly blink your eyes open.

Take a long,

Deep breath in and out.

As you breathe out,

Lower your hands from your eyes.

Viewing the world again,

Noticing how your perspective has changed,

How you are feeling,

Your sensations physically are different.

Still sensing the calm,

The ability to zoom out.

Notice how you're ready to meet the world again,

With a new perspective and with a sense of calm and ease.

Thank you! Exactly what I needed today. The ickiness. Yes. That’s exactly what it felt like. And feel better now. 🙏
