Welcome to this meditation for injury recovery.
I know how challenging it feels to be dealing with an injury,
So if you're going through something similar,
This practice is here to support you.
Find a comfortable position that does not strain your body,
Whether seated or lying down.
Close your eyes,
If you feel safe,
And begin by taking a slow,
Deep breath in and exhale fully.
Allow your body to settle.
Begin to breathe gently into the area.
Inhale slowly,
Imagining healing energy flowing towards the part of your body that needs care.
Exhale,
Releasing tension,
Discomfort or frustration.
With each breath,
Repeat to yourself,
I am patient with my body.
I allow it to heal.
Expand your awareness to the rest of your body now.
Imagine a warm light flowing through you,
Supporting every muscle,
Joint and organ.
Let this light carry a sense of ease where it is needed.
Allow your mind to release worry about healing.
If thoughts arise,
Gently return your attention to your breath and the sensation of support within your body.
Stay here,
Connecting with a sense of acceptance and compassion,
Even if it feels difficult right now.
Take one last deep breath in and exhale fully.
In your own time,
Bring gentle movement back into your body.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
You can return to this practice any time you want to reconnect with your body.
