This track is designed for the times where you cannot get to sleep. You've already tried breathing techniques and body scans, which have left you feeling relaxed and sleepy, but you can't quite fall asleep. This is where the Almost Asleep meditation comes in: for when you just need someone to talk to you softly as you drift off. The track has background music, and tapers off at the end, so there will be no voice or bell at the end to wake you up just as you are drifting off. Get yourself into a comfortable position.

Make any adjustments you need.

And at any point,

If your instinct is to change position,

Just move until you're even more comfortable.

Allow your breath to do its own thing.

Allow it to be effortless.

Notice the breath coming in slowly.

Notice your breath easing out softly.

Notice how quiet your breath is.

Notice that your breath is barely moving you.

Just the tiniest of shifts.

Breath going in.

Breath going out.

Allow your body to feel really heavy.

See where you feel the most comfortable.

Notice how cozy it feels to be in bed.

Allow the sound of my voice to come and go.

No need to focus.

Notice yourself drifting away.

Let yourself relax even more now.

You can't force it.

Just allow it.
