Christians have been praying these words for 2,
000 years.
Morning,
Evening,
Afternoon,
Whenever you choose to do it,
It's a moment of peace in the day.
Mine is in the afternoon.
I have an alarm set at midday.
When it goes off,
I stop whatever I'm doing and say this prayer.
With Christians across time and across the world.
I've taken the Lord's Prayer and personalised it a little bit.
I hope you enjoy it.
So let's start by slowing down our breath.
As you breathe,
Welcome the Holy Spirit.
And acknowledge God.
Don't force anything.
Just slow it down One more and an act.
Let's pray.
Father,
Your name is holy above everything.
Let your kingdom come,
Here,
In this moment,
In me.
Your will be done,
Not mine.
Give me what I need for today,
Not tomorrow's worries,
Just today.
Forgive me.
The way I'm asking you to forgive me is the way I'm willing to forgive others.
Help me.
Keep me from what would pull me away from you.
Because it's yours,
The kingdom,
The power,
The glory,
Yours,
Not mine.
Amen.
So why don't you set yourself an alarm,
A reminder,
Come back and do this again tomorrow.
