I invite you now to get into a comfortable position in which you can be focused and alert.
If you are sitting in a chair for example,
You could lean slightly forward,
Straighten your posture,
Drop your shoulders and release any tension you may be carrying in them now.
Really ground yourself by pressing your feet into the floor beneath you.
And as we begin now,
You can close your eyes or pick an area of the room to focus your gaze upon.
Begin now by bringing your attention to your breath.
Release the gentle rhythm of your breathing.
You are going to inhale as much as you can,
Filling your belly with air and inhaling as much as you can.
Breathing with your chest and then your belly,
Exhaling softly.
Do this for two more breaths.
Now bring to mind the challenge that you are struggling with.
Bringing to mind that struggle and noticing how it impacts your life presently and how it may impact your life in the future.
Taking a moment to create space for it and holding it lightly and gently.
Extending our awareness and noticing the difficult thoughts and emotions that come up around this challenge.
Now slowly and gently pick a hand and place it on your heart.
Letting your hand rest there,
Softly and gently,
Feeling it pressed against your skin now.
Take a moment now to notice the energy rushing through your body from your hands.
Our heart chakra is the center of love,
Empathy and compassion in our bodies.
Green is the energy of love and transformation and it is the color associated with healing the heart chakra.
The color green is the color of love.
It is at the very center of your being within the heart center.
Imagine a beautiful radiant large emerald light flowing into your heart through the palm of your hand.
Feel this beautiful energy healing your heart and opening you up to self love,
Self kindness and self acceptance.
Let the kindness flow into your body from your fingers.
Keeping one hand on your heart.
Use your other hand now and place it on the body wherever feels natural for you.
You could place it on your stomach,
On your shoulder,
Just letting it rest wherever feels right for you.
Letting both hands rest gently and kindly on the body now.
And setting aside this little moment to connect with yourself.
Going through this compassionate touch you are taking care of yourself and contributing comfort and support inwardly.
Now using all the love,
Openness and compassion cultivated through this meditation.
Visualize wrapping yourself up with love.
Extending love to your whole body now.
And sending it out from the space that holds your heart.
This meditation is coming to a close but remember that you can give yourself this love and kindness anytime anywhere just pick a hand and place it on your heart and infuse some loving kindness inwardly imagining the colour green and imagining the healing and light filling your whole body up with self compassion,
Self acceptance and self care.
