Yet another outstanding composition/performance. They’re all so impressively distinct from each other, and yet they are easily identifiable as coming from the same artist.
In some ways this may be my favorite of Coen’s IT pieces I have heard so far (still a few to go, but I find myself revisiting the ones I have already heard/experienced most of the time). That could be a function of my delight that, even after hearing almost half a dozen of his recordings here (plus his collaborations with another artist available on AppleMusic), I still manage to find something unexpected in each new one I listen to.
Fingers crossed that Coen will one day offer a course here; I love his short, individual offerings, needless to say, but I am intrigued about what he would do with a longer format.
