Hey there,
Hey,
Welcome.
This is your guided meditation sleep story,
And I'm Kendra.
Tonight I'm going to take you somewhere calm,
Somewhere spacious,
A quiet stretch of beach,
Somewhere along the coastline.
It's not exact,
Just a feeling,
Because you have the power to imagine the way it feels on your feet and your skin as you explore with me as I guide you.
Imagine the cool air,
The soft light,
Ocean breeze,
And the open space.
Thank you for being here.
I'm really glad you found your way to this moment.
This is your time now,
A time to relax and to let go of whatever the day held for you.
The conversations,
The decisions,
The emotions,
Whatever felt heavy,
Whatever stayed on your mind,
Let that melt away.
You don't need to carry it with you anymore.
This is a safe space to rest,
To reset,
And to simply be.
So let's begin by settling in.
Take a moment to get into a comfortable position.
Gently move,
Maybe shift your shoulders,
Your hips,
Your feet,
Wiggle around a little until you get comfortable.
Adjust your pillow.
If you have a blanket,
Just make sure it's comfortably supporting you.
Let your body find that place where it can begin to soften.
And then slowly allow all the parts of your body to sink into the surface beneath you.
Feel how you're being held,
Supported,
And surrounded.
And before we go any further,
Just take a moment to acknowledge your body,
All that it did for you today.
The way it carried you through movement,
Through movement,
Through stillness,
Effort,
And emotion,
How it carried you through walking,
Standing,
Sitting,
Reaching,
And holding.
Even the smallest movements happening without you even needing to think about them.
Your body has been working all day for you,
So just quietly thank your body now for all its work today.
And now bring your awareness gently inward,
Noticing the weight of your body,
The feeling of your head on your pillow,
Whatever surface it's on.
How does it feel right now?
Is it heavy?
Is it light?
Is there any sensation?
Travel to your forehead.
Notice if it's cold or warm.
How does the skin feel on your forehead?
Feel it softening.
Then travel to your jaw and wiggle your jaw around a little bit so it unclenches and relax a little bit.
And now your neck.
Travel to your neck and notice how it feels,
Releasing a little more.
Muscles relax.
And now to your shoulders.
Let's go to your shoulders,
Let your shoulders drop just a little more.
Your arms heavy,
Your elbows supported and calm,
Your fingers,
Notice how they feel,
Softening and resting.
And now bring your awareness to your torso,
Your chest,
Your belly,
Allowing the breath to move naturally down to your hips,
Your lower body,
All supported.
And if there's any pain or discomfort,
Just notice.
Thank your body for letting you know where the aches and pains are.
Notice your thighs,
Your knees,
Your calves,
Your ankles.
And now to your feet.
Noticing the tops of your feet,
How the skin feels against the blanket,
The soles,
Your arches,
Your heels,
And finally your toes.
There's nowhere you need to go and nothing that you need to do.
And there's nothing you need to do.
No one you need to be just here,
Resting.
And now very gently,
We begin to shift.
Tonight I want to take you to a beach,
A quiet beach,
A place where the land meets the sea in a soft,
Steady rhythm.
You arrive just as the days beginning to close,
The skies painted in muted tones like watercolors.
Soft golds,
Dusty pinks,
And deep blues as they fade into one another,
The beach is peaceful and not crowded,
Just a wide,
Open stretch of shoreline,
A mix of smooth pebbles and soft,
Cool sand.
And you notice there's some pools of water formed naturally by the tide.
And you wonder if maybe they're holding some small pieces of ocean life.
And you're curious,
You can hear the water before you even reach it,
A slow,
Steady rhythm,
Waves moving in and out,
In and out.
And you begin to walk,
Slowly,
Your feet pressing gently into the sand,
Occasionally shifting over smooth stones and shells.
Each step is unhurried,
Each step bringing you deeper into this place.
The air is cool but comfortable,
A light breeze brushes your skin.
You might hear distant seabirds,
Their calls soft,
Echoing across the open space.
As you come closer to the shoreline and notice those small pools of water left behind by the tide,
You pause,
Looking down into one of them,
Clear and still.
You see tiny pieces of seaweed,
A few shells,
Blues and creams,
Maybe even a little pink.
And you notice a small sand dollar resting at the bottom.
And you pick up one of those items and put it into your pocket after you dry it off,
And then you continue walking.
And you find a place that feels just right on the sand.
You have a blanket with you,
And you place the blanket on the ground,
On the sand,
And you lower yourself down,
And the sand shifts gently beneath you,
Molding,
Supporting,
Holding you exactly as you are.
You take a slow breath in and exhale.
The ocean continues its rhythm,
And you now begin to follow it with your breath.
As the waves roll in,
You inhale,
And as it pulls away,
You exhale.
No effort,
No control,
Just allowing,
Letting your breath match the movement of the water.
The world around you feels steady,
Safe.
If any thoughts are still drifting in nearby,
That's okay.
Just imagine placing them one by one into the water,
Letting the tide hold them,
And then carrying them out.
You don't need to hold everything tonight.
Then as the sky grows darker,
You start to hear crickets signaling.
Night is coming,
And the stars are beginning to peek out softly,
One by one.
Your body feels heavier now,
More supported.
Your shoulders are softer,
Your jaw relaxed,
Your breath slow.
And gently,
You lie back right here on the shore.
The ground beneath you is still warm from the last heat of the day.
The sound of the ocean beside you is steady,
Soothing and changing.
Your breath and the waves moving together now,
Slower and softer.
Your body begins to drift,
Not all at once,
But gently like the tide.
There's nothing left to hold,
Nothing left to solve,
Nothing left to figure out.
Just this rhythm of the waves,
And this place,
This feeling of being held.
And as sleep begins to find you,
Know this,
You can return here anytime,
To this quiet shore,
This steady breath,
And this sense of.
.
.
So just drift now with the ocean sounds,
In and out,
In and out,
And rest.
