This is a guided meditation to help quiet your mind,
Reduce feelings of stress and anxiety,
To cultivate more peace in your life.
Ideally choose a space that is safe for you,
Where you will not be disturbed for the next few minutes of clock time.
And either practice laying down on your bed or on the floor or in a comfortable cross-legged seated position or in a chair with your feet planted on the ground.
Begin by closing your eyes and bringing an awareness to your breath.
Breathe in deeply and feel the air fill your lungs.
Take in a cleansing breath and as you exhale let go of all negative thoughts you've accumulated.
Continue to breathe.
I want you to imagine a snow globe.
This snow globe is your mind.
I want you to shake it as hard as you can and count backwards from 10.

9,
8,
7,
6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
I want you to stop shaking the globe and now watch the snow begin to settle.
These are your thoughts.
As the snow in your imaginary globe begins to settle,
So do your thoughts and you let go of any stress that the day a person or a situation has caused you.
Like the globe you are now still.
As you look at your snow globe,
A great sensation of peace begins to fill your lungs as you breathe.
Breathing in into your entire being from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet,
The sensation of peace fills you.
Now slowly begin to move your fingers.
Wiggle your toes and begin to increase the movement in your body.
As you bring your awareness back to the space where you currently are,
Slowly open your eyes.
Do come back to this meditation anytime you need.
