Hi friends and welcome to this one minute meditation.
Just before we get into this tactical breath meditation,
You know a lot of people believe that meditation is sitting thoughtless for hours and I want to relieve you of two myths here.
First meditation is not about being thoughtless for you can no more tell your mind to stop thinking than you can tell your heart to stop beating.
And secondly meditation doesn't require large chunks of time in fact one minute matters.
So let me take you through this one minute meditation.
To practice the tactical breath meditation I want you to simply close your eyes and take in a deep breath for the count of four.
Let's do that together one two three four then hold your breath for the count of four three four then breathe out for the count of six three four five six.
Now open your eyes and in your mind say I am present in this moment.
Then I want you to breathe in again for the count of four.
Let's do it together one two three four hold that breath for the count of four three four and then breathe out again for the count of six three four five six.
Well my friend there we have it in under a minute you have brought yourself back into the present moment and with one thousand four hundred and forty minutes in a day there are plenty of opportunities for you to slip in the one minute meditation year and there.
