Good evening and welcome.
Thank you for pressing play and listening to this Christ-centered sleep meditation.
So,
How was your day?
No matter what kind of day you've had,
You're here now.
Take a pause.
You did it.
No matter what you got done or what's left to do,
You've done enough.
Can you simply notice how you're feeling right here,
Right now?
Tonight,
As you begin this time of restorative rest,
You'll fall asleep to God's promises being spoken over you.
As you sleep,
You'll let go of what's no longer necessary,
While you allow this space here in this room to be filled with the truth of God's word.
Your body will heal.
Your body will repair.
Your body will find balance again.
As you soften and relax into a comfortable space,
This surrender to sleep is a sacred moment.
Take some time to gently stretch or work out any tight places in your muscles.
Turn the lights down low,
And put your device in a place where it won't distract you.
Begin to breathe.
Three rounds of deep intentional breath.
Allow my voice to guide you.
Together,
We'll do box breathing,
Which is breathing in,
Hold,
Breathing out,
Hold.
Let's do those together now.
Breathe in,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Don't force it to be anything other than your natural.
Maybe you're already feeling tired,
But if not,
That's okay.
You don't have to try to fall asleep.
Simply breathe and let go of anything else besides being present with the divine presence and experiencing peace.
Begin to settle even more now into rest.
Take a deep breath in,
And exhale slowly.
Begin to let go of any worries from the day,
And prepare your heart to receive God's promises as you fall into peaceful sleep.
Letting God's promises for peace and rest wash over you as you begin to sleep.
The Lord is my shepherd.
I lack nothing.
Rest,
Knowing that God is your shepherd,
Watching over you,
Guiding you,
And providing for your every need.
You're safe in his care.
God makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside quiet waters and refreshes my soul.
Picture yourself resting in peaceful,
Green pastures beside still waters.
God refreshes and restores your soul.
Come to me,
All who are weary and burdened,
And I will give you rest.
Let go of all weariness and burdens as Jesus invites you into rest.
His yoke is easy,
And his burden is light.
In peace,
I will lie down and sleep,
For you alone,
Lord,
Make me dwell in safety.
As you lie down tonight,
Know that God surrounds you with peace,
And you dwell in the safety of God's love.
Be strong and courageous.
Do not be afraid or terrified,
For the Lord your God goes with you.
He will never leave you,
Nor forsake you.
Release any fears or worries from the day.
God is with you always,
And he will never abandon you.
Cast all your anxiety on him,
Because he cares for you.
Gently lay down any anxieties you may be holding.
God cares for you deeply,
And you can trust him to carry your burdens.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted,
And saves those who are crushed in spirit.
If your heart feels heavy,
If your heart feels heavy,
Know that God is near to you.
He holds your heart and brings you comfort and healing.
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you.
Keep your thoughts anchored in God's promises.
Trust in him completely,

The Lord gives strength to his people.
The Lord blesses his people with peace.
Receive the strength and peace that God gives freely to his people.
His peace surpasses all understanding.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
For you are with me.
Your rod and your staff,
They comfort me.
Even in the darkest moments,
God is with you.
His comforting presence guides you through every valley.
My presence will go with you,
And I will give you rest.
God's presence goes with you into the night.

The Lord is good to all.

Blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
The Lord is good,
A refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield.
The Lord bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.
Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed,
Yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken,
Nor my covenant of peace be removed,

If your son asks for bread,
Will give him a stone?
Or if he asks for fish,
Will give him a snake?

Know how to give good gifts to your children,
How much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him?
And God is able to bless you abundantly,
So that in all things,

Having all that you need,
You will abound in every good work.
The lions may grow weak and hungry,
But those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
No power in the sky above or in the earth below,

The Lord is near to all who call on him,
To all who call on him in truth.
And God will always rescue you with his love.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
That whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
And if we confess our sins,
He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and fear from heaven,
Then I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
And so if the Son sets you free,
You will be free indeed.
If you declare with your mouth Jesus is Lord,
And believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
You will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,
And it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
And into an inheritance that can never perish,
Spoil,
Or fade.
This inheritance is kept in heaven for you.
For it is by grace you have been saved through faith,
And this is not from yourselves,
It is the gift of God.
If you belong to Christ,
Then you are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise.
Take another deep breath in,
