Welcome to your morning meditation.
My name is Sherry and I'm here to guide you through your practice this morning.
This meditation is a brief but positive and powerful way to begin your day before you even get out of bed.
Starting your day with meditation can help you set the tone for the rest of your day.
It can help you approach your daily tasks with a more positive and relaxed mindset,
Improving your overall well-being.
Begin by finding a comfortable position lying down on your back.
Allow your head to relax into your pillow.
To be more comfortable you may choose to place a pillow behind the back of your knees.
Another option is to lie with your knees bent and your feet placed on your bed.
Now get cozy on top of your covers or under them.
Rest one hand just below your belly button and one hand on your sternum at your heart center.
Close your eyes.
Bring your full attention to the natural flow of your breath,
Allowing the morning air to drift in and out through your nose.
Just let yourself relax into this moment.
We will now begin three-part breathing.
Breathing in,
There's a rise of your belly,
An expansion of your ribs,
A meeting of your breath and your hand at heart center.
Breathing out,
There's a slow release from your heart to your belly,
A letting go.

Breathing out,

Continue breathing here at your own pace.
Inhaling the new day and exhaling the remnants of the day before.
Inhaling light and energy,
Exhaling darkness and sleep.
Inhaling possibility,
Exhaling doubt.
Inhaling promise,
Exhaling uncertainty.
Now returning to your natural rhythm of breathing,
You're welcome to move your hands to another position or leave them where they are,
Allowing your eyes to remain shut.
Imagining your day before you,
A day of lightness,
Of hope,
Of love,
A day of ease and intention.
Just moving through the flow of your gentle breath and taking one more full,
Beautiful,
Intentional breath here and releasing it all out.
Gently opening your eyes,
Welcoming the new day and all the possibilities it has to offer.
Namaste.
