Learning is a never-ending process. When we feel bad about not knowing certain things, it’s healthy to remind ourselves that there isn’t a single person who has all the answers! We can use affirmations to help with self-acceptance. Realizing that knowledge is something we accumulate throughout our lives can help us combat our inner critic.

Welcome to Charm Words,

Your daily reminder to be good to yourself and others.

My name's Zola,

And together we're going to breathe in the good,

Breathe out the bad,

And use words to remind ourselves of our worth.

Learning is a never-ending process.

When we feel bad about not knowing certain things,

It's healthy to remind ourselves that there isn't a single person who has all the answers.

Realizing that knowledge is something we accumulate throughout our lives can help us combat self-critical thoughts.

Let's do some belly breathing.

Then we'll do our affirmations.

When you breathe in,

Use your nose and keep your shoulders still.

Once your belly fills up like a balloon,

Breathe out through your mouth by just letting go.

In through the nose,

Out through the mouth.

Ready?

Take a gentle,

Deep breath slowly through your nose and breathe out through your mouth.

In through your nose and out through your mouth.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

One more time,

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Today's charm words are,

It's okay not to know everything.

I'll say it first,

Then repeat after me.

Ready?

It's okay not to know everything.

It's okay not to know everything.

It's okay not to know everything.

It's okay not to know everything.

It's okay not to know everything.

It's okay not to know everything.

Way to go.

Curiosity is the key to learning new things.

On the count of three,

High five the person closest to you or clap your hands together and high five yourself.

Ready?

One,

Two,

Three.

These charm words are yours to keep,

So put them in your pocket and take them with you wherever you go.

You can find us at charmwords.

Building new habits takes time,

So we'll be here every weekday to practice breathing and affirmations together.

See you next time.
