Welcome to this guided meditation.
In this meditation we are going to be connecting with Mother Earth and the energy of reciprocity.
So find a comfortable position and let's get started.
So you can either be seated or lying down and just take the next few moments to take some rolls of the shoulders,
Maybe move into the hips,
Really finding a way to feel free and comfortable in your body.
And then when it feels right to you,
You can begin to flutter the eyelids closed.
I'm taking a deep inhale through the nose,
Feel the breath expand through the ribs and down into the belly and exhale through the mouth.
Welcoming softness,
Release and just keep this connection with your breath.
Noticing the subtle sensations as you inhale and exhale.
Every exhale an invitation to soften the body,
To relax the muscles,
To release tension.
Maybe inviting some softness across the skin on the forehead,
A release in the jaw.
Just allow as you breathe the shoulders to melt away from your ears,
Opening up the heart space.
Relax your belly,
Soften the hips,
Releasing any tension in your physical body.
Let it go as you exhale,
Breathing in and exhale,
Softening,
Releasing,
Letting go.
And now starting to bring your awareness to the connection between your body and the surface beneath you.
Just notice all the points of contact,
Allow the body to get a little heavier.
Starting to welcome in a feeling of support,
Allowing yourself to be held here by the surface beneath you.
And as you welcome in this feeling of support,
Softening the body even more,
Melting into the support of the surface beneath you and the earth beneath that.
Taking a deep breath in here and a slow,
Patient exhale,
Melting the body,
Softening the muscles and welcoming in this feeling of being held and supported,
Not just by the surface beneath you but by the earth beneath that.
And just knowing as we go on this journey you are totally held and safe in this space.
Your breath is your anchor when your mind gets distracted.
So always just coming back to the body,
Coming back to your breath,
Coming back to feeling.
And from here I invite you to imagine that roots are starting to grow out from your body and into the ground,
Into the earth beneath you.
So feel them growing as you breathe,
Feel them deepening and expanding,
Allowing your roots to spread deep into the earth as you breathe,
Feeling them travel all the way down to the center of the earth.
Your roots here connecting into the heart of Mother Earth.
And as you connect and root in,
Begin to feel a gentle pulsing of the heartbeat of the earth.
And feel the pulse of the heartbeat of Mother Earth.
Begin to connect with the rhythm of your own heartbeat,
Starting to feel a sensation of oneness with nature,
Of oneness with Mother Earth.
And with this connection you have created with the center of the earth,
Begin taking in up through the roots whatever it is that you need right now.
Allowing yourself to be provided for and resourced by the earth.
Beginning to embrace a beautiful exchange,
This energy of reciprocity.
Allowing anything that feels heavy or stagnant or anything you want to let go of,
Allow it to be taken away down through the roots and into the earth.
Maybe sinking up with your breath,
Breathing in to take in what you need up through the roots and into your body.
And exhaling,
Releasing from your body,
Your heart,
Your energy fields,
Anything that you don't need down into Mother Earth through these roots.
Gently breathing here,
Feeling this exchange of giving and receiving.
A process of clearing and cleansing and letting go as you exhale,
Whilst at the same time being nurtured and nourished and taking in exactly what you need as you inhale.
You don't necessarily need to know consciously what it is that you are releasing or taking in.
Just trusting and allowing the process to happen.
Allow the earth to carry whatever feels heavy away for you.
Letting go,
Letting go,
Letting go.
For these next few moments I'm going to leave you in silence and stillness with your breath,
In this energy of giving and receiving.
Of letting go and of taking in.
Moving with an energy of allowing and gentleness and compassion.
Releasing any energy of forcing and simply being here for the next few moments with the support of Mother Earth,
Your body and your breath.
How much more can you allow yourself to be held,
Nourished and recharged?
How can you trust that this is always available to you?
Receiving and filling up with exactly what you need.
Coming home.
Coming home to your body.
Coming home to Mother Earth.
Trusting that anything you're carrying,
Anything you're holding,
It's never too much.
It's never too much to let go and to release and give back.
Mother Earth is here to hold you.
So coming back to welcoming that feeling of being supported,
Of being held.
Welcoming in a feeling of safety and trust and feeling present in your body in this moment.
Connected with the earth.
Connected to this universal energy that binds us all.
A natural flow that we are all part of.
Reciprocity.
Giving and receiving.
And in this space just know that it's safe to feel any and all emotion.
There's no good,
There's no bad.
Releasing any labels,
Any judgment,
Any need to fix or hold or change.
There is only feeling.
Yes it can feel uncomfortable and challenging at times and in other moments feel expansive and light.
So just releasing any labels of good or bad and moving into a space of accepting and allowing of what is.
Welcoming any and all feeling.
Finding presence for your full experience.
Reminding yourself that the emotions they are the way through.
They're the way through to freedom,
To clarity,
Expansion,
Liberation.
And take a deep breath in through the nose and a soft patient exhale through the mouth.
Coming back to notice the connection between your body and the surface beneath you.
Feel all those points of contact.
Relaxing the muscles and noticing if you are clenching or holding anywhere.
And again welcoming in that sensation of being held and supported.
Inviting in a sense of trust that you are worthy of receiving exactly what you need.
And you are worthy of releasing and letting go of anything that is no longer serving you.
And starting to take some deeper breaths.
Feeling the expansion on your inhale and the subtle contraction on your exhale.
When it feels right start to invite in some gentle movements in the body.
Maybe rolling out the shoulders or the neck.
You might like to shake your hands,
Your arms.
Just finding a way to come back to the space.
Blinking the eyes open when you feel ready and wrapping yourself in a big big hug.
And here we close our meditation.
