Wherever you are.
I invite you to find somewhere where you can be safe and undisturbed for the next little while.
When you're ready.
Get yourself nice and comfy.
As comfy as you possibly can be.
No,
There is no right or wrong way to sit or lie for this journey that we will take together.
It is all about feeling comfy.
Feeling safe.
So get yourself in the position that feels right for you.
And when you're ready.
Begin by closing your eyes.
And drawing your attention to your breath.
As you breathe,
Allow every inhale to bring you into this moment.
Into your beautiful body.
Into this space.
Into this time.
Knowing,
As you do,
That the journey we will take together will ask nothing of you.
It exists to hold you.
To support you.
With every out breath.
Allow yourself to just release.
To let go of anything and everything that doesn't need to come into this place with us for the next little while.
Of anything and everything that can now.
He left behind.
To give you the space that you need in this moment.
Know that you can return to those things when we are done.
If you need them but right now.
Allow.
The earth herself.
To simply hold them for you.
As you continue to bring your attention to your breath.
And as you breathe at the rhythm,
The depth.
And the peace that feel right for you.
I am going to begin by calling in a circle around us.
A space in which you can be held,
Protected and supported.
For all you need in this moment.
So I begin by turning to the east and calling to the east and to the air.
To intuition and to wisdom,
To the birds and to the butterflies,
To logic,
To the power of our voices and the power of our dreams,
To the birds that soar on the breeze.
And to the blue skies above us on even the most challenging of days.
I call to the winds,
Those gentle breezes that stir us from slumber,
Remind us to keep moving when everything in us wants to stop.
And I turn to the great gales and call them to us as a reminder that in the moments that we are sleepwalking through our lives The wind will be there.
To turn us,
To move us.
To put us onto the path that is right for us.
But in this moment,
I ask those winds to blow around us,
Gently.
Warmly.
Safely.
Carrying on them the beauty of birdsong and the whispers of words that we long to hear.
To the east and to the air,
I invite them to join with us,
To work with us,
To bless this time,
This space,
This journey that we take together.
To the east and to the air,
Hail and welcome.
And then I turn to the south,
As I call to the south and to fire.
To dragons and volcanoes,
To the sun itself which is the radiant centre of all life on this planet and beyond.
I call in the tiny torches of candle flames that light a pathway for us in the darkness.
As a reminder that even in the dark,
Just one spark will give us what we need to see.
To keep moving.
To keep seeing what is next,
Even when hope seems to be lost.
I call to the wildfires that seem so determined to raise everything to the ground.
And to those moments after those wildfires when we stand amongst the destruction.
And yet still see the promise of the new begin to grow.
I call to the bonfires,
The places around which we gather,
To share our stories,
To be held in our tears and our laughter alike.
To be protected from those that would come for us in the moments we are alone.
May the bonfire stand as a reminder that we are never alone.
That our emotions will always be held and our stories will always be heard.
That we,
With every word we speak,
Write our legacy and the legacy of those around us and before us.
To the south and the fire I call in passion,
Creativity.
Rage,
The sacred rage that does not destroy,
But only builds.
I call in that spark of inspiration that leads us to the new even when we feel all is lost and to the south and to fire I invite them to join with us,
To work with us,
To bless this time,
This space and this journey we take together.
To the south and to the fire,
Hail and welcome.
And then we turn to the west and we call out to the west and to water.
To the ebb and flow of the tides.
To the cleansing and the nourishment of the reins.
To the release and the emotion of our tears.
To the depths and the reflections of the rivers and the streams of the lakes and the pools.
It is said that the waterways of our blue planet are the places where all memory is held.
So let it be known that as we wash our faces in the waters as we drink from that clear and cooling spring.
We are taking in not only what has gone before,
But also what is to be.
We are moving through that same cycle of consciousness,
Of remembrance,
Of awareness that everyone before us and everyone after us moves through.
To the West and to water.
We invite them to join with us,
To work with us,
To bless this time,
This space and this journey we take together.
Hail and welcome.
And then we move to the north and to earth.
To the trees and the plants To the animals,
The mountains,
The rocks and the caves We call in Those trees that are all great wisdom keepers.
That remind us in every moment of the power of moving slowly.
Of finding our place and standing,
Rooting in even when it feels impossible to do so.
Those trees that are our shelter,
Our guides and our guardians.
That will just as clearly make a fire for us.
As they will keep the water away when we need to stand firm.
We call out to those caves deep,
Deep beneath the earth and remember as we do that the darkness,
The fear of the darkness is not a fear of danger but a fear of loss.
Of being alone.
Of what comes after.
But now as we sit in these caves,
As we call to the earth,
As we feel the earth come to support us in this moment,
We realise that the caves are only ever a place of peace,
A place of Pondering.
Where we may rest,
Where we may alchemise all that lives within us.
And be ready to move back out into the world when the time is right.
To the North and to the Earth.
We invite them to join with us,
To work with us,
To bless this time,
This space and this journey we take together.
Hail and welcome.
And as we draw this circle around us,
Drawing it across time and space,
So that whenever you are listening to this,
Wherever you are listening to this,
You know that you are held.
Perfectly held.
In a space of protection and of wisdom,
In a space of connection and of support that comes to you by East,
By South,
By West,
By North and back to East.
And into that circle we call to the centre,
To soul,
To space,
To spirit and to ether.
We call to the love and the guidance of spirit,
To the wisdom and the power of soul,
To the vast,
Limitless potential of space great mysteries of Aether.
We call to them and we ask those guides and those helpers,
Those teachers and those inspirers,
Those ancestors of blood,
Of heart,
Of soul,
Of stars and of lineage to draw close to us,
To support us and to hold us through this moment that we remember we are never alone.
That they remind us that nothing ever ends or dies,
That love itself is eternal and that we are,
All of us,
Joined by this beautiful force of love.
Into this circle we call to our own deepest power,
Our own highest wisdom.
And we ask.
The centre,
Soul,
Space,
Spirit and ether to be with us,
To work with us,
To guide us,
To support us on this journey that we take together.
Hail and welcome.
And within this space,
As we sit here noticing how it feels to be in that sacred circle of protection and support,
Of wisdom and knowing,
I invite you to take a few minutes to simply tune into yourself.
Allow yourself to feel what comes up for you here,
In this place,
In this moment.
Noticing as you do the feeling of support that comes from being in a safe and supportive space.
Now from within this circle,
I invite you to draw your attention back to your body.
Back to the very top of your spine,
That place where your spine meets your skull.
And from this place.
We begin to feel and to notice the roots that start to grow out of there.
Roots that are made of golden white glittering light.
That begin to grow out of the base of your skull on the top of your spine and to move downwards.
Down through every single vertebrae of your spine.
And as they move,
They grow brighter and brighter.
Broader and broader.
And as you feel these roots move,
You feel all that they are comprised of.
All of the stories,
The experiences.
All that you have loved,
All that you have grieved.
All that has been left behind and all that you will always be.
Held within this glittering golden light.
That moves down your back.
Until by the time it reaches your hips.
It is broad enough to hold the whole of your body.
Broader still.
Broad enough to hold the whole of your energetic body.
So that as it continues to move downwards,
Stretching further and further down,
You see it move out of the base of your spine and down into the surface that you are resting on.
And this light is so bright now that as it moves downwards you can still see it.
And you can still feel it.
As you follow its journey down through the surface that is supporting you.
Down through the floor of the room that is holding you.
Down through the foundations of the house that anchor you into this planet,
To this land.
And down into the land itself.
Down through all those layers of soil and of stone.
Of rock and of sand which seem to hold within them the very footprints of those who have walked this land before.
A reminder that you do not come here alone.
There are those that have tended the earth before you.
And those that will continue to tend the earth long after you.
You follow those routes down through all those layers,
Down into the rivers and the streams,
The oceans,
In fact,
That fill our planet,
That lie beneath the surface.
This blue planet holds many whispers.
Many mysteries and as you move into and through these waters you feel their coolness.
You feel them move around you like a great big embrace,
Allowing you to float.
Alone but not lonely,
Held not only by the tides but by the songs that move on the waves.
That sing of days gone by.
That promise of horizons to come.
And you continue moving your attention down,
Down through the caverns and the caves of the inner earth.
Down to the places where so many of our mysteries wait.
Not to scare us,
Not to make us afraid,
But to remind us that there is so much we do not know.
That so much of our fear,
So much of our grief or the loss.
Is a grief over what has been forgotten.
Rather than over what has gone from us entirely.
And as we sit in these spaces,
As we pause in these caves and caverns.
We hear the voices that remind us it is not gone forever.
Nothing is gone forever.
And we continue to follow our roots as they move downwards.
Down through the circle of fire,
Of magma that surrounds the very heart of our planet.
And as we move through that fire,
We feel ourselves warmed.
We feel the fire that blazes in our heart reflected back to us by the fire of the earth that has always carried creation.
That has always carried creation from love.
A reminder that what seems to be destructive is so often laying the ground for what will be born.
That does not make the destruction easier or simpler,
But it is part of this cycle,
This beautiful cycle of life and of Gaia.
And as we emerge from that ring of magma,
We find ourselves in the crystalline core of the earth.
The very centre of this beautiful planet.
As we do,
We look ahead and see a great big tree.
That tree is reaching out its roots towards us,
Moving its roots towards ours so that the two seem to stretch out to each other until they intertwine,
Like fingers on hands interlaced together through love and care.
And as you feel your roots intertwine with the roots of the tree at the heart of Gaia,
You feel that you are held.
Perhaps you follow those roots up to the tree and place yourself against the tree bark for just a little while.
Feeling its sturdiness.
Feeling the way it holds you here.
Anchors you in here and as it does you feel yourself noticing that here at the centre of Gaia you are more supported than you have ever been.
You remember that this planet is always holding you through every moment and every breath.
That each time you move,
The embrace of gravity holds you firm.
That she has got you,
She is with you.
So let us sit with this tree for a little while now and remember what it is to be truly held.
Perhaps in this place,
At this moment,
You want to ask the tree.
Exactly what it has to share with you.
To listen to the wisdom of this living being that has carried the whole of the world upon its shoulders.
The love and the grief,
The joy and the sadness.
Let this tree share with you now any of its wisdom that it has to impart.
As we prepare to leave this place for now.
As we prepare to leave this place for just now.
Take a moment to run your fingers along the tree bark.
To pick out the knots,
The dips and the crevices.
To become familiar with the roots and the branches.
To recognise this tree that has seen so much,
That has lost so much and that grieves that loss.
Even as it is still growing.
Even as it is still standing tall.
Know you can return to this tree anytime that you wish.
That your roots will remain intertwined with this tree always so that you are forever being held by it and our beautiful planet.
But for right now we stand,
Give the tree our thanks and begin to follow our own roots away from it.
A way out of the very core of our planet.
Out through the fire that surrounds that heart of Gaia.
Out through the caverns and the caves of the inner earth,
Through the rivers and streams and oceans beneath the earth's surface.
Following our roots back up through all those layers of rock and of soil,
Of stone and of sand.
Through the foundations of the building that we're in.
All of the floors of that building through the floor of the room that we're in.
Through the surface that we are resting on until we find our attention drawn back into our body.
And give yourself a moment now to feel that body for all that it is right now.
The sensations it holds,
The emotions that live within it.
The memories that run through it,
And the pulses that move within it.
Let us have a moment now of simply being one with our bodies and letting it all flow within,
Through and around us.
And from within that space,
I invite you to draw your attention to your belly.
And see where feels natural for you here.
Perhaps it is your solar plexus just a few centimetres above your navel.
Or perhaps it is your sacral centre,
Just a little way below that beautiful navel that is so deeply connected to your lineage.
Wherever it is,
You will know because you will feel drawn there.
And you will know that from within there resonates a radiant silver light.
Glittering and gleaming,
Moving and flowing like water.
And as you follow it from your belly and upwards up through your chest,
You feel this light become brighter and brighter,
Broader and broader,
So that by the time it reaches around and through your head,
Out of the top of your head,
This light is broad enough to hold your entire being.
And bright enough that you see it stretching far,
Far above you.
Stretching up through the ceiling of the room that you're in and out through the other floors of the building through the very roof itself.
This light stretching up into the sky above you.
Out past those many layers of the Earth's atmosphere,
Right out into space.
And as you find your attention drawn here to space,
Look around yourself.
See the darkness and see also the glittering of the stars that hold so much.
And as your light,
Your beautiful silver light stretches upwards,
You know that you are not alone.
You can never be alone in this life or any other.
Not in a universe so vast.
So beautiful.
And so you allow yourself to simply look around here for a moment and be in this place,
Be in this energy.
Before you continue to follow your silver light upwards.
Up through the stars and the planets.
Up through the galaxies and the universes.
Right the way up and out to the very heart of the universe to a place where it seems as though everything will stop.
It seems as though you have truly reached the very end of space.
And yet,
Even as you ponder this,
You find yourself continuing to move.
Continuing the journey onwards,
Breaking through.
The darkness like a swimmer in the water as you break through into a place that pulses with that same radiant silver light.
And as you connect your own beam of light in here,
You find a sense of peace flowing over you.
Because this place may pulse with power,
It may pulse with excited wisdom,
But more than any of that,
It feels like home.
Like the warmth and the love of home.
And so,
As you sit here in this place,
In this silvery light,
Connected to all that there is,
Let us just lap up that sense of home for just a moment.
And suddenly from out of that silver light,
You begin to see shapes emerging.
Nothing within you feels scared because they come with a simple feeling of love.
People and animals,
Places and moments.
Those things that warm your heart,
And only those that warm your heart,
Form themselves from within the silver light.
And you are drawn to step forward towards them,
Towards what feels like an embrace,
As the world of the ancestors,
The world of all that has gone before.
Welcome you to connect with them and to talk with them.
Spend some time now doing exactly that,
Allowing them to greet you,
To be with you,
To share their stories and to tell you just how much they love you.
Of all of those who have made themselves known to you here.
One more than any other steps forward and takes your hand.
I will be with you.
They tell you.
I will be there to listen,
To offer a shoulder to cry on,
To remind you of the good and to hold you through the bad.
This is the continuation of a love that can never end.
And as they hold out their other hand,
You see three things spring from it.
Animals,
Colours,
Plants or other signs,
Images or sounds,
Things that they tell you they will send your way to let you know that they are with you.
Let us just take one more minute for them to share with you anything and everything you need to know from them at this time.
As you remember that you are never alone.
And now,
As we ready ourselves to leave this place,
I invite you to look around yourself.
To notice all that is here,
Not only that which you see within the silver sparkles but that which you feel.
And all that you feel here within your body.
In this place where you are supported,
Where you are connected to so much love.
And know that even as we move back and away from this place,
It is always here.
We are forever anchored into it.
So as our attention is drawn back into the stars,
Back through the stars and the planets,
The galaxies and the universes,
Back through all those layers of the Earth's atmosphere,
Through the sky above us,
The roof of the buildings that we are in.
Through the rest of the building and the ceiling of the room that you are in.
Right the way back into the top of your head and all the way down into your belly.
Let yourself recognize the fact that in this moment you are always connected,
That silver light gleaming up from you.
That golden white root moving down from you.
As you are held by the earth,
Anchored into so much load.
And as you let yourself be anchored in that,
We will take a moment to close our circle,
Giving thanks as we do to the North and to Earth,
To the West and to water,
To the South and to fire,
And to the East and to air,
Drawing that circle back around us,
By North,
By West,
By South,
By East,
And back to North,
Giving thanks as we do for all that has been shared here,
All that has been accessed here.
Knowing as we do that the circle may be closed but it is never broken.
You can call in these elements,
You can pull this circle back around you anytime.
You need a space that is safe.
That is supportive.
A space in which you can remember.
But for right now we give thanks to that circle and we give thanks to the centre,
To soul,
To space,
To spirit and to ether,
To our guides and our helpers,
Our teachers and our inspirers,
To our own souls and all that they encompass.
And as we do that,
We ask that a blessing of protection may be placed upon all of those who journeyed with us today,
And upon our own selves through every direction of time and space,
That our hearts may be held in every part of this process,
And we may know throughout it all that love is eternal and that we are never,
Ever alone.
I invite you now to bring your attention back to your body,
Slowly and steadily,
Becoming aware of the weight of your body on the surface that you are resting on.
Becoming aware of the temperature of the air around you.
Allowing yourself to notice any sounds,
Not just my voice but from the room around you,
From the world outside of that.
Allowing yourself to remain soft.
Gentle with yourself as you begin to wriggle your fingers and your toes.
Just stretch your arms and your legs to move your head and your neck.
To shrug your shoulders to have a good stretch.
And a good wrinkle.
And when you're ready,
Coming all the way back with another big,
Deep breath in.
And out.
Opening your eyes and coming back into the present moment.
Thank you.
Thank you.
