Get yourself in a comfortable,
Supportive position and take a couple slow,
Deep breaths.
As you breathe in,
Letting your body expand and as you let your breath out,
Just letting go of all the stress,
All the tension,
All the worries and let yourself fully sink into the support,
Letting your brain relax,
Letting yourself fully be in this moment,
Giving yourself permission to soften,
Feel supported and letting yourself quiet as we head into the one percent meditation.
Breathe in,
Letting your body expand,
Breathing out,
Letting the tension and stress go as you let your breath out,
Opening your heart,
Your mind,
Your spirit.
One percent.
What if each day you could grow just one percent?
Today I will love myself one percent more.
I will be one percent easier on myself.
I want to connect with my coworker,
Parent,
Spouse,
One percent more.
I will eat one percent healthier.
I will exercise one percent more.
I will forgive myself for one percent of the things that I seem to think that I have done wrong.
It seems like such small steps,
One percent,
But these small steps can lead to big changes.
These small steps that seem too easy,
Too simple to really have any effect at all can lead all the way to the top of what seems to be an insurmountable mountain.
Like most people,
I have been someone who tends to focus on what I haven't accomplished,
How far I still have to go.
I keep looking at the top of the mountain and getting discouraged because I'm not there yet.
But what about taking time to look back and appreciate how far you've come?
If we look at how far we've come and if we let the steps that we need to take seem simple,
Then the journey can progress faster and farther than we ever could have imagined.
Take some time right now to think about a situation you're struggling with,
Anything that's going on in your life.
And as you think about it and as you see where you are now and think back to how you used to be,
How much farther have you progressed?
Are you one percent further than what you were?
That's progress.
And as you focus on the progress,
That makes the future changes easier and easier.
If we continue to focus on everything that we're not doing how we think we should be doing,
Then that will slow us down,
That adds weight.
And every time you look at the successes that you've had,
The steps that you've made that help drop the weight so that it's easier and easier to move forward.
So think about the things that you want to improve in your life.
Think about relationships,
Other situations that you would like to improve.
And as you start your day,
Ask yourself,
Can I improve this one percent today?
Yes,
That's an easier goal.
And at the end of the day,
Look at the progress you've made.
Again,
Are you at a hundred percent?
Are you at the top of the mountain?
You might be.
If you're not,
You're farther than what you were.
So focus on that one percent.
What if each day you could grow one percent?
Today,
I will love myself one percent more.
I will be one percent easier on myself.
I want to connect with my coworker,
Parent,
Spouse,
Significant other,
Friend,
One percent more.
I will eat one percent healthier.
I will exercise one percent more.
I will forgive myself for one percent of the things I seem to have done wrong.
Things like such small steps,
Small steps that seem too easy to lead to big changes,
But those small steps can lead all the way to the top of what seems to be an insurmountable mountain.
So what things do you want to improve by one percent today?
Visualize those things,
Feel how it's going to feel as you improve one percent.
See yourself achieving what you want to achieve,
Feeling happy,
Feeling peaceful,
Appreciating all that you've already done.
So start today with one percent and enjoy your journey.
