Explore the constant vibration from the roots of Mother Earth moving through your body and out into the universe with this powerful meditation.

Transcript

Earth Sky Heart Meditation.

Take the time to sit or stand comfortably and focus your awareness on your breath.

Pay a great deal of attention to the flow of air in and out of your body.

Slow it down and go deep and easy.

Feel the rise and fall of your body as the breath flows in and out and the chest rises and falls and the diaphragm expands and contracts and your belly moves in and out.

Feel the breath move into every nook and cranny of your whole being.

Notice it.

Experience it.

Now in addition to your breath,

Pay attention also to your heart center.

Focus on the heart and the breath and be in your experience of both places at the same time.

Now begin to extend a line of light from your heart to your belly and breathe that line of light alive so that all is connected breath and heart and belly.

And then extend it even further and down to the base of your spine extending your awareness through your breath from your heart to your belly to the base of your spine.

Continuing to experience your body,

Move your awareness out through your hip joints down through your thighs,

Through your knees,

Through your calves,

Through your ankles,

To your feet.

So that now that line of light and your awareness stretches through your breath from your heart to your belly to the base of your spine and all the way down your legs to your feet.

And from the soles of your feet extend your awareness even further down through the earth down deep into her body.

Perhaps like the roots of a great tree going deep into the soil and spreading out to capture the nutrients and moisture that the earth holds for them.

So feel your connection to her body,

The earth's body,

Through your roots,

Through your energy,

Through your awareness connecting with hers deep,

Deep down from your heart through your body down into her body.

Be aware of her temperature and texture.

Be aware of her strength and firmness,

Her endurance,

And the love that she holds for all of creation.

And for you as she holds your body to hers through her gravitational force,

Loving you and holding you and nourishing you.

Not only from the food that comes directly from her body but also from the beauty that is around you everywhere.

And for you as she holds your body to hers through her Peninsula air,

Noticing that,

Feeling her and drawing up her energy up through the root hairs,

Through the branches of the roots,

To the main root moving up into feet like the sap rising,

The energy rises into your feet,

Through your ankles,

Through your calves and your knees,

Your thighs,

Up through your hip joints,

To the base of your spine,

Spilling into your belly and drawing up into your heart,

The line of light flowing alive and well,

Back and forth between the earth and yourself,

Heart to heart.

And as if really,

You hold the earth alive in your heart.

This beautiful planet that we call home,

Alive and well in your heart,

Loving her as she loves you,

Breathing into her being as she breathes into yours,

Resonating,

Resonating with each other,

Deep and true.

And now begin to stretch your awareness upward,

Extending it up through your chest from your heart,

Drawing that line of light even further through your throat.

So heart and chest and throat extend even upward with the breath through your brain,

Through your pituitary gland and your pineal gland,

Up to the crown,

That place where you once had a soft spot when you were a baby,

Breathing that connection alive,

Paying attention to how you experience those places in your body and their connection to one another through the breath and through your awareness.

Now as if that soft spot is like a little doorway,

A little seepapoo that opens up and allows your energy,

Perhaps like the trunk of a great tree,

Stretching upward,

Branches reaching,

Leaves touching the sky,

The sun stretching even upward further past the moon,

Past the sun,

Into the stars,

Feeling the vast amounts of space and the great mystery of space and the energy that is everywhere.

For the divine one breathes across these still waters continuously,

Creating light and life and endless amounts of love.

So feeling your connection to the heavens,

To space,

To galaxies here and there moving out forever,

Infinitely connected,

Energy and light drawing them down now,

Gathering up the energy and light and drawing it down now,

Drawing it down through the branches,

Through the trunk,

Through the little seepapoo in the top of your head,

Flooding your brain with light,

With life force and with love and drawing it down even further through your throat,

Through your chest and into your heart.

And for here in your heart,

Heaven comes to earth and all the love that is gathered from below and all the love that is gathered from above,

Rides in your heart filling you.

Pay attention to how you experience that.

And now stretch those lines of light from your heart out behind you,

Behind you to the ancestors,

To those who have gone before you,

Who support you and love you,

To those who have prayed for you even though they may not have known your name.

Gather all of that in as you then become aware of the line of light that stretches out in front of you,

To your children and to the children whose lives you have touched and to their children and their children's children,

To the future generations whose names you do not know but for whom you pray,

Wanting them to be the best that they can be,

Loving them and feeling the love return to thousand fold.

So being aware of that line of light that stretches behind you and in front of you,

Above you and below you,

Connecting to your heart,

Loving you,

Loving you fully and completely,

Unconditionally.

Unconditionally.

And you too can return that love to yourself and to the others in your life.

And be aware of as well to those beings of light that gather around you in this lifetime,

Those beings of light who guide you and protect you and love you,

Who walk with you.

And when you take the time to stop and ask for help,

They are always there.

Be grateful for them.

Love them as much as they love you.

And remember to ask.

And so here you are deeply connected above and below,

Behind you and in front of you and all around you.

Be aware of your heart now.

Be aware of the chalice of the heart.

For that cup runneth over and all of that light and life force and love spills out now into your very being,

Into every cell of your being,

Loving yourself,

Filling yourself with the light and the life and the love in every nook and cranny of your entire being until even it cannot be contained within your own skin.

When it begins to spill out,

Radiating light and love and life vitality you are,

Radiating light and life and love everywhere.
