Once upon a time,
You had a dream.
You were so excited about it.
Every time you thought about it,
Everything inside of you came alive.
Every time you thought about it,
You built a new dimension to it.
Like the architect designs the skyscraper.
Like the landscapers plan the magnificent palatial gardens.
Like the city planners lay out the amazing cities.
It was so vivid and colorful and alive.
You saw yourself in your dream being completely who you are.
It was your dream.
It was your future pictured in your heart's imagination.
What happened to that dream,
Divine beloved?
Maybe you told someone and they shot it down.
Maybe they laughed or snickered or made a disempowering comment.
I call them the dream killers.
Maybe life just got on to its running start.
Maybe life just happened and you visited your dream less and less.
You entertained the imaginations of your heart less and less and less.
Until you stopped building on to the dream.
Until the vision of it softened and the colors turned black and white and gray.
Until you lost the belief that the dream could have ever been real.
And now it's barely a forgotten memory.
Don't forget your dream,
Divine beloved.
It came with you to guide you to your authentic self.
To that perfect you.
The dream you came here with was the divine picture of your future you.
The potential of your life.
The unique blend of you.
Divine beloved,
Go back and remember the dream you abandoned.
It did not abandon you.
Oh,
I know.
There is a reality in which you now live.
You have responsibilities.
Clamoring voices of demands.
People depending on you.
A job to go to.
A life you can't just drop and chase after.
A dream.
I know that.
But the dream is still there.
What makes you fully alive and fulfilled is lying within that dream.
What would it be like now if it had fully matured?
In the busyness of your life,
Can you nurture even a part of it?
If you can,
It will grow and wait for you.
Are you at a place now where you can give life to it?
Maybe even just a little bit of life to it?
It isn't too late.
Go into the silence.
Go into the stillness and remember the dream.
Be still and know that I am God.
God is the dream maker.
The creator of dreams.
The creator of all dreams.
Not one part of it has God forgotten,
Nor has the gift been taken away from you.
