A light-hearted approach with imagery of the bumble bee as a metaphor for nay-sayers, this is an encouraging thought for anyone who may be discouraged by unwanted, undeserved, unsolicited criticism.

Namaste,

Divine Beloved.

I'm Carol and this is First Light.

Dancing with the Bumblebee When you're intentionally moving forward in your life,

On track with your dream,

Your vision,

There will be naysayers.

Consider the bumblebee.

Critics are like bumblebees,

Always buzzing around.

There you are,

Shower fresh,

Great cologne,

Aftershave,

Or a magnificent perfume,

Dressed in bright colors reflecting your colorful you.

And here they come,

Uninvited,

Buzzing around,

Bothering you with the threat of their sting.

As soon as you wave one off,

There comes another.

To say,

Don't let the naysayers cause you to doubt,

Would be like saying,

Don't be bothered by the presence of a bumblebee.

They bother you because you know what they can do.

To varying degrees,

The presence of the bumblebee sends most of us into a nervous terror of flailing arms and awkward movements,

Later hoping no one witnessed our unrhythmic dance with the bumblebee.

Consider this,

You never see a bumblebee buzzing around poop.

They're attracted to what's fresh,

Clean,

Sweet,

And bright.

That's you,

Divine Beloved.

Now it's up to you to deal with the bumblebee.

This is just to point out why they buzz around you.

Understanding why the naysayers and doubters are attracted to you is important.

But what's more important to understand is the presence of the bumblebee can cause you to hurt yourself,

Even if it never stings you.

Your nervous,

Frightened,

Uncontrolled reactions can cause you to fall or hurt yourself in some way.

As for the bumblebee,

Well,

It flies away to terrify some other unsuspecting soul.

The point of this is,

People that make you doubt yourself are like bumblebees.

You'll never get rid of them all,

So figure out how to handle yourself gracefully in the dance.

I'm Carol,

And this was my thought at first light.

Very well said. Good music with most of its volume. Very good observations. Thank you for the analogy. Puts my flailing into perspective. Blessings to you and those on their journey. Warmly, Anne
