Pieces Of Rain: Introspective Piano & Natural Rain Sounds
by Carlos Carty
The rain falling against the glass of my home stops time. The sound of water hitting the window makes the piano the perfect medium to process everything happening inside my mind. I composed "Pieces of Rain" seeking the pure essence of the melody and the absolute fluidity of the moment. It was an afternoon when the gray sky requested silence. I sat at the piano and allowed the instrument to react to my emotions: a blend of nostalgia and constant calm. The recording maintains the technical purity of the original piano sound, the space of the room, and the exact moment of the performance. This piece represents my personal logbook. It allows me to observe my own thoughts while the melody flows, like a conversation with myself in a low voice. As I feel the need to silence the outside noise and simply watch the rain fall, I hope these fragments serve as a place to share a moment of introspection with your own feelings.
