Good morning.
Welcome to your morning water meditation.
The intention of this meditation is to invite you to ritualize your first glass of water of the day.
Once you have your water in your hands,
Find a comfortable place to sit,
Either on the floor or in a chair with your feet on the floor,
With your spine nice and long.
And begin with a full breath into your heart space.
Taking a few breaths simply to awaken and enliven your body this morning.
Feel where your breath moves in your rib cage as it expands out laterally and into your front and back body.
Use the breath as a gateway into presence.
Slowing down and inviting in a simple appreciation for this glass of life force in your hands.
As you take this water into your body,
60% of which is made of water,
Invite it to hydrate and moisturize each and every cell in your being.
Recognize the potency of this crystalline liquid.
Calling to mind all the waters of this planet.
The wide oceans,
The running streams,
The meandering creeks,
The water frozen in ice,
The rain pouring down from the clouds.
Offering gratitude for the opportunity to drink pure,
Clean water.
Use this precious morning time as you begin your day to cultivate a practice of mindfulness and a willingness to create space for simple but important acts of self-care.
Allow this practice to set the tone for the rest of your day so that you may move out into the world embodied and nourished.
