There is no such thing as writer's block.
There are blocks in the way of your writing,
Most certainly.
And these blocks are blocks that every single human being experiences every single day.
It is the list of chores.
It is the interest and the mission of perfection that we are all striving for,
Despite how hard we try not to.
It is the daily struggles we face,
The tensions and conflicts that we come across every single day that force us to pause and manage those conflicts.
Remember,
All it takes to get yourself back in that seat riding is to center yourself in your body.
What's going on right now is that your mind is taken over.
And in order to experience creativity from an authentic place,
You need to be connected to your body,
To your energy source,
Right?
So remember that when I speak about your body,
I'm speaking about your container,
Right?
This container that holds everything that you are,
Right?
This is your energy body that I speak of,
Okay?
So being able to center yourself in your energy body is about spending time with you.
So in order to write,
In order to create,
This is where we need to be living.
So what I suggest in order to avoid ever having writer's block again,
Is to create rituals around your creative practice that drop you into your body,
Into your energy center,
Allow you to release your mind from criticism and from judgment.
And you do this by taking a walk,
By going on a bike ride,
By doing yoga,
By meditating,
By practicing guided visualizations,
By using this app and finding your center.
I'd also like you to remember to give yourself enough time to center yourself in your creativity.
This is an important element to consider.
So this isn't just an hour.
I suggest at least two hours.
It's going to take you almost an hour to get out of your head and into your body.
So consider that.
And also anything movement based will bring you back to your body.
And any kind of meditation you choose will take you out of your mind.
Do not worry about the kind of meditation or the kind of somatic movement or any kind of activity you choose to do.
The key is that you are doing it and it works for you.
You.
Okay.
What you have to do is push out all the things that are in the way of your creative space so that you can sort of empty it out.
Does that make sense?
So there is no writer's block.
There are blocks to your writing.
And as soon as you figure out what those are,
You can create a space where none of that is welcome.
And then you can create.
