What if anger?
Is a trigger.
What if.
.
.
We consider looking at anger in a different way.
And by different I mean.
.
.
It's not bad.
Anger is actually a sign.
A guide post.
And communication.
I believe through intuition.
That we feel unsafe.
For whatever reason.
It may not even register in our minds.
It's something our bodies know.
When we're thinking about anger.
Consider it more like a tiger.
That is inside you.
Waiting to pounce.
When it feels There is danger near.
So if we look at it that way,
What happens to it?
What changes about it?
For me,
Takes away a lot of the shame associated with it.
It also says.
.
.
How do I listen to my anger?
And use the information it's giving me.
This is the hardest part.
Because often the information it's giving us is telling us that someone we love.
.
.
Is not safe.
That's a very challenging thing to have to look at.
However,
It's something that I have.
Had to insist I look at it.
And I encourage you to do the same.
Because.
.
.
It's really important that we are not shamed for our anger.
And yet it is also important that we do not abuse other people with our anger.
It's a challenging contradiction.
Because in a way,
What we're not saying,
I am not saying,
I think some people might be saying this,
But I am not saying that if someone has wronged you,
You don't have a right to be angry at them.
That's the part I'm not with.
That's the part I can't get behind.
If somebody wrongs you,
If you are unsafe,
If they put you in a position that makes you feel wronged and unsafe,
You are going to be angry.
There is nothing wrong with you feeling that.
There should be no shame around that,
However.
.
.
If this person continues to do these things and you continue to come back to them and you continue to get angry and you continue to wonder why you have to explain yourself.
That's where we have to look at our choices and go.
Or not paying attention to our anger.
We're not giving it the respect it deserves.
So I'm going to say right now,
Give your anger the respect it deserves.
It's there to protect you.
