Good morning and welcome to a brand new beautiful day.
Thank you for joining me.
We will be doing a five minute meditation focusing on gratitude,
The awareness of being thankful,
Appreciating all of the little things that we often take for granted.
This will allow us to bring clarity,
Happiness,
Joy and less worry and stress into our day.
So wherever you are,
If you're still in bed,
Go ahead and sit up,
Stretching your spine nice and long.
And if you are out of bed,
Bring yourself to a seated position,
Allowing your body to settle in and find a comfortable spot where you can stay still and focused.
Allowing your shoulders to fold down and back.
Allowing your eyes to close softly.
Just stretching the spine up towards the sky just a little bit more.
Allowing your palms to rest on the tops of the thighs or turn your hands so that your palms are facing up.
Now we will begin deepening the breath.
Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Just sighing lightly.
Noticing how your body feels when you inhale,
Filling up with all of that fresh,
Energizing oxygen.
And as you exhale,
Paying attention to all of those little muscles relaxing.
And now we will begin breathing in through the nose for four counts.
Holding for four counts and exhaling for four counts.
I will count the first round and then you can take it from there.
Breathing in for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Holding for three,
Two,
One.
Exhaling for three,
Two,
One.
Continue at your own pace.
Letting your mind to just focus on that breath.
Allowing any other thoughts about what you have to do today.
Just let those come and let them go.
Gratitude is the recognition of value in one's experiences.
Acknowledgement of the positive things that come our way that we didn't work towards or ask for.
Gratitude emerges from within.
Think of three things that you are grateful for.
Something you've learned,
A challenge you've overcome that's opened another door in your life.
Something someone's done for you,
Someone you love.
Moving on to that feeling and noticing that some things will be out of our control.
And things,
Worries,
Stress will be put in our way each and every day.
But we have the power to be grateful for those things to happen to us,
To allow us to come out stronger on the other side.
Start to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Bringing awareness back to your body.
And as you start to flicker open your eyes,
Take a look around you at where you are.
Take this moment to appreciate the life,
The energy inside of you.
And choose to spread this positive energy out to everyone else in the world today.
