Anita Ducharme

Anita, a devoted educator, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Education and Psychology from Mount Holyoke College as a Frances Perkins Scholar, before immersing herself in special education through the M.I.N.T. program at the Massachusetts Institute for New Teachers. Over the past two decades, she has tirelessly pioneered alternative learning programs first in elementary school and then in high school, where she focuses on incorporating social-emotional learning. Anita holds an M.Ed in Curriculum and Technology and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate studies (C.A.G.S). Her commitment to personal growth led her to become certified in yoga and wellness education through Breathe for Change in 2019, inspired by her journey with chronic autoimmune issues. Integrating yoga and meditation into her teaching, Anita seeks to impart a sense of calm and balance to her students' and her own life. She strives to help the dysregulated become regulated. With empathy, trust, and a focus on healing, Anita fosters a nurturing environment for students to flourish. As a 500-hour RYT certified instructor, she continues to expand her practice and advocate for holistic well-being, emphasizing the importance of cultivating inner peace for overall wellness. Anita's unwavering dedication to spreading positivity and empowering individuals on their well-being journeys defines her mission to support others in finding tranquility and empowerment.
