In this seven-part course the students will be introduced and guided by some of the traditional meditation practices from the Taoist tradition, practices that have been used for hundreds of years to balance, harmonize and energize our qi system. Sitting, standing and moving meditations will be introduced. In addition a Golden Light healing meditation practice and a Water Meditation (Watercourse Way) will also be covered. The course will end with a beautiful guided meditation on the Great or Primal Mother. These practices use visualization, breathwork, simple movements, and qi cultivation to enhance our emotional, spiritual, phsyschological and physical energy.

Solala Towler has been studying and practicing the Taoist arts for over 33 years. He has had 14 books and four cd's of meditation music published. He is a founding board member and past president of the National Qigong Association. He had lead eight tours to China to study qigong and meditation with Taoist teachers in the sacred mountains of Wudang and Hua Shan.

An Introduction To Taoist Energy Practices
Here we are given much information as to how Taoist meditation is very different from other forms of meditation practice, both in the East and the West. Taoist meditation, besides including practices to calm, harmonize and deepen our connection to the Source of Tao, also includes qi or energy practices as well. This makes it unique in the world of meditation. The beauty of Taoist energy meditation practices is that one does not have to "convert" to Taoism in order to get the full benefit of the practices. This course, with its simple yet powerful guidance, will be of great use to anyone seeking more vital energy and a way to connect with the Source of all life.

Sitting Meditation
Here guidance is given on what is called Stillness Practice, sometimes called Sitting in Oblivion or Sitting and Forgetting. This is an ancient practice, going back to Shamanic times in China.
Lição 3
Standing Meditation
Standing Meditation, sometimes called Standing Like A Post, or Hugging A Tree, is a powerful way to access yin energy of the earth and yang energy from the celestial realm. It can also strengthen our kidney and adrenal energy. By grounding our energy deep into the living, breathing earth, we can live a life of being rooted to the earth in all that we do, a powerful practice indeed.

Golden Light Meditation
A beautiful meditation/qigong practice that allows us to draw in Golden Healing Light from the universe and use it for healing, centering and and clearing our energy/emotional field.
Lição 5
Watercourse Way Meditation
Taoist tradition talks about the Watercourse Way, the ability to "go with the flow." This meditation is a guided journey that takes the listener/student on a journey from being by the water flow that we are next to to the water flow that we are a part of....from the small stream to the endless ocean, symbolizing a total immersion with Source.

Taoist Moving Meditation
Here we have guidance on a flowing movement meditation, from the qigong form, Great Spiraling Dragon Qigong, a great way to connect with both Earth and Celestial energy in a flowing dance-like way.
Lição 7
Great Mother Meditation
The image of the Great or Primal Mother is a powerful way to view the compassionate and loving nature of the universe. Many cultures the world over contain these images: from Guan Yin, Green Tara, Mother Mary and the like. This image and the ability to really experience a connection to the Great Mother can be a very healing thing for many of us. This meditation can do just that.
