Hey everyone,
Boomshakaha here.
Another episode in my video series.
I hope that you guys are doing amazing wherever you are,
Whichever country you're living in,
Wherever you're listening from.
So today I wanted to speak to you guys about something that I've been kind of working on in my life.
I guess a process or an attitude of doing things.
So one of the main things I've been really trying to inculcate in my life or bring into my life is the art of allowing or the art of letting go and letting things happen as they happen without any strife,
Without any grasping,
Without any real violence,
If you want to call it.
Everything is just very peaceful.
The idea of Ahimsa which comes from the 8 lines of yoga or the 8 tenets of yoga.
One of the main things they say is non-violence.
Ahimsa.
And a lot of us practice non-violence towards everyone else around us but I feel like specifically for me,
I am extremely violent against myself.
I am not nice to myself or I wasn't nice to myself in the past.
Not only would I say mean things to myself which is common but I would push myself beyond my limits.
I would work too hard.
I am a workaholic just like the rest of my family.
Less so than them though.
I would still work like crazy.
And so I'd push myself,
I don't take care of myself,
I don't feed myself in time,
I forget to drink water,
I forget to take care of myself in other ways,
Don't sleep enough.
So in a lot of different ways I was not practicing Ahimsa for myself.
I was not taking care of myself.
I was being mean to myself both physically and mentally.
And so in all of those ways I've realized that the minute I don't take care of myself,
The minute I don't treat myself as a precious object,
The minute I treat myself as disposable is when other people start treating me like that as well.
Those moments where I don't feel good about myself or I don't feel like I am the amazing individual that I am,
Other people treat me like crap as well.
It's just automatic.
It doesn't even happen because I tell them to do it that way.
It's just the perception of if I'm not precious to myself then other people are not going to treat me preciously.
But if I do treat myself as a precious object which is how I want to do it all the time because I am,
Then other people treat me like the miraculous amazing object that I'm supposed to be treated as.
And you guys know this that the world or the universe is a projection or a reflection of yourself.
And I've noticed this over and over and over again.
And so now what I'm trying really to do is bring that practice into everything that I do.
Treat myself in the way that I want other people to treat me.
So if I want to be treated like a precious object,
I have to treat myself like a precious object first.
That's the first thing that has to happen in this series of events.
Other people are not going to start treating me properly and then I'll see,
Oh,
They're treating me amazingly.
I should start treating myself properly.
No.
It always begins from within yourself.
It always begins from within yourself.
You're going to treat yourself perfectly in the beginning.
That is how it's going to start.
And then from there it's going to move onwards and upwards.
So whatever you want from your life,
Whatever you want for yourself,
Whatever you want from people around you,
Whatever it is,
It first has to come from you.
No matter what it is,
It has to come from you first.
So if you're thinking in terms of you want to find a person in a relationship who treats you preciously,
Who doesn't cheat on you,
All that stuff,
You have to start doing that for yourself first.
You have to start loving yourself,
Believing in yourself,
Treating yourself properly,
Pampering yourself,
All of that.
And when you start doing that for yourself,
You're going to be able to find people who are going to do that to you outside of yourself.
So I hope that this video helps you again.
This is something that I'm,
It's a constant practice for me because I have a hard time treating myself properly because I feel like it's a waste of time.
I could be doing some other things.
But it's the most important thing you can really do and I'm really,
Really trying to make self-care and self-love and self-acceptance as a major part of my daily practice every single day.
So that's become a priority for me over everything else.
If I don't get to work on my business,
That's alright.
But I need to make sure that I take care of myself first.
I hope that this video helps you again.
