Celebrate Every Win No Matter How Far You Still Have To Go

Sometimes we think that the only win we should celebrate is the BIG one. But what about all the little steps we took to get there? Don't forget to celebrate those, so you can see how far you've come already!!

I am so grateful that you're listening to the Millionaire Hippie Podcast. I am so, So happy and I just feel so proud that I am actually creating these words of wisdom for you. I really, Really cannot believe my life sometimes. I really cannot. Anyways, Today we're going to be speaking about celebrations. I recently went to this workshop run by this amazing individual, Andrew, And he was running this workshop about reflecting and releasing 2016 and moving on to 2017. It's really brought a lot of things into perspective for me. I am so grateful that Andrew took the time to create this amazing free workshop for the people in Chiang Mai. Whoever attended, I know that they got a lot of benefit out of it. So kudos to him. One of the things that I noticed in the workshop and by the workshop attendees over and over again, We said the same thing that we do not celebrate our wins enough. This is in so many different forms. It was said over and over again by everyone who shared that I wish I celebrated my wins more because I forget to celebrate when I win something or I do something or accomplish something. I just move on to the next step because I'm like, Oh my God, I have so much more to do. I forget to celebrate the win that I have in this moment. It's so important. It's so important to celebrate your accomplishments or your tiny wins along the way because the journey is what is important, Not the destination. Once you reach the destination, Every single time you know this is going to happen, You'll accomplish something major and you had all these steps that you took to get there. Once you accomplish it, All of a sudden that accomplishment loses luster and you forget the fact that you were working for three or four years to actually make that happen. All of a sudden you realize, Okay, It's not as important as you imagined it would be. It didn't change your life as much as you thought it would be. You thought it would be this pinnacle moment but it's not actually a pinnacle moment. It's just lackluster. Then you move on. You move on to the next thing that's on your to-do list. You forget that you spent four years or whatever it might be to get to this point and you haven't celebrated it. You did not celebrate. I really, Really want to make this a part of your ritual. I want to make it a part of your everyday life every week, Maybe once a week, Twice a week, Whatever it might be, Whatever works for you. Create a celebration routine. You're celebrating the fact that you're alive. You're celebrating the fact that you're able to work on your goals. You're celebrating the fact that you are a thinking being that has all these senses, Is able to use the internet, Can see, Is alive, Can breathe. All of these amazing things are happening all the time anyways. So we're celebrating all of that. We're not just celebrating the fact that we made a billion dollars. That's not the only accomplishment on this planet. The point is to celebrate along the way. So you realize that yes, I am here. I am present in this moment, Every single moment, Even though I'm working towards a goal in the future. I am still alive right now and I need to celebrate that fact. What I do and what I've done in the past is that once a week, Usually on Sundays, I will create a list of all the different things that had happened to me and they were amazing and I'm so grateful to it. It will be from the smallest to the biggest. It might be the small things like I got a manicure done and it looks absolutely awesome or it might be really big things that I got a client and I made some money or it might be even the bigger things that my mom came to visit me in Korea and I'm so grateful to spend time with her one on one. So I write all of those things down and then I have a celebration diary. So I actually email it to this folder in my Gmail. I have this full folder filled with emails from myself saying, You know, This is the celebration that you had for this week and a few times during the year I'll go back and look at all the celebrations and just skimming through it, I realize how much I have accomplished. It's actually miraculous to me how much you actually get done in a year and it's crazy because if you don't write it down, You actually forget about all the different things you've done in the year. It really does, It's as if you've forgotten all of it, You've just lost your memory. It's really really hard to remember because seriously so much happens in the year, So much is accomplished in the year. So I really really recommend that what you do is that you decide on a time frame, Maybe it's every day if you do a gratitude diary every day or if you do morning pages or if you don't do that maybe once a week every Sunday, Just create a quick email to yourself, You know, This is what happened during the week and this is all the amazing things that have happened to me and I'm so grateful to it. It's kind of more also like a gratitude diary, You're thanking the universe for all that you have and the more you thank the universe for all that you have, The more you'll be able to receive, You know, We kind of forget about all the stuff that we have and we're always looking to the future, We're always looking to what else can I get, What else will I have to do, What else, What else, What else and so all these gratitude diaries, These celebration diaries will actually keep you in the moment, Keep you right now here and will teach you to appreciate right now, Teach you to appreciate all that you've done, All that you have, All that you are right now in this moment because you already are enough, You know, We have this feeling inside of ourselves that we are not enough, We are not enough, We keep on telling ourselves this and that's the reason I feel like a lot of us are always looking to the future and always trying to make more happen, Always trying to get more money and always trying to get more accomplishments and always trying to get more stuff in, Always trying to get more, More, More, More, More because maybe we think that we are not enough in this moment and in reality, We all are enough no matter what we do, We do not have to do something in order to be enough, We don't need to do something in order to be worthy, We are worthy as we are in this moment right now, Right now in this moment and I really want you guys to really, Really get that into your brain and just have it and hold that thought as you know truth, You are enough, You have nothing more you have to do, You have nothing more you have to accomplish, You have nothing more you need to get in order to be enough so all you need to worry about is what have you already done, Let's think about it, Let's celebrate, Let's be grateful, Let's write it all down so that we can actually go back to it maybe once or twice a year and see how far we have already come. If I go back to 2016 and let's look through all the different things I have been doing, If I just write it all down, It would take me at least a day to write down all the different things I have accomplished because I have actually really done so much but a lot of times because I am a type A personality, Because I am always looking to the future, Because I am always trying to accomplish more and more and more, I have this thing inside of me where I am a workaholic of sorts, It causes me to always want to be doing more, I never feel like it's ever enough so I really really have to slow myself down and look at my celebration diary and see wow, Shikha you have really done a lot this year, You have really done a lot this week, You don't have to worry about not doing enough, You are doing enough, You are doing amazing and using these kind of positive affirmations, These positive celebration moments, These grateful moments, These gratitude diaries, All the different things we are doing during the week, It will make you realize that you are amazing and you are amazing, I don't need to tell you that, I hope that you know that already and if you don't, Tell yourself that on a daily basis, You are amazing, You are already doing so much and you are doing so great. It doesn't mean that you stop working at the things that you want to work at obviously, I mean we are goal setters, We are entrepreneurs, We are creating new things out of nothing, We are creators of our reality, We are engineers of our life, So we are always doing stuff and that is just going to be the basic reality of how we exist, Especially as digital nomads where we are always moving around, Always meeting new people, Always trying out new things, Always saying yes to everything, This is the kind of personality we have, We are always going to be those kind of people that do more, Accomplish more and are always looking to be more but I want you guys to remember to savor the moments and to really really really celebrate each win, Even if it's the smallest thing on this planet, Even if you got one more email subscriber on your list, Celebrate that email subscriber, Thank the universe for sending him or her your way, Thank the universe for the fact that this individual found you interesting enough and actually decided to download your content or give you their email address which is a really precious item right now in this world, So thank the universe for that little win or it might be as small as the fact that you met a new person today and they are amazing and they seem like they are going to turn out to be your soul sisters or soul brothers, Whatever it might be, Thank the universe for that individual, It's really hard to meet people as an adult and if you do, Especially in Chiang Mai, Then you should thank the universe for that, It might be as small as the fact that you got a beautiful manicure today and it looks amazing and you didn't ruin it because you were moving your hands about or touching things etc and it looks perfect, Thank the universe for that, Every single time it doesn't actually happen that way, So the universe rewarded you somehow and you need to thank it for it, So celebrate everything, Even the smallest of the small things because if you start celebrating that, More and more and more things are going to come your way, That is the law of the universe, That is the law of sowing and reaping, That is the law of cause and effect, You guys know what I'm talking about, I've talked about this before and I want you guys to use it in your life as much as possible.
