A short three minute meditation, when in the middle of a busy day even taking a few moments to stop can help us reconnect with our bodies and our emotions. This can help us take stock of what we're about to do, re-energise us or simply rest for a second.

The three minute breathing space.

So beginning with a very broad sense of how you are right now.

Tuning in with the body,

Your emotions and your mind.

So bringing a kind awareness as you tune in with your experience right now.

And beginning to focus in on the breath in the body.

As closely as you can following the movements of the body with the breath.

The breath coming in and going out of the body.

So as best you can really focusing in on the breath.

Giving yourself to the breath.

Now taking that broad awareness along with the more focused awareness of the breath.

And expanding your awareness to include others around you right now.

Allowing a sense of kindness for yourself and others.

Breathing in a sense of connection and breathing out with a sense of well wishing for yourself and the world.

And then bringing together this awareness of the body,

Heart and mind.

The awareness of the breath and a connection with all beings.

As you go out into the rest of your day.
