Today,
We choose to see.
Today,
Looking is not enough.
Why do you take all of the photographs you take in your life?
What do they mean?
What do you do with them?
Our photographs are not just a way to ensure we won't forget.
Because honestly,
We're not really in danger of forgetting what it looked like.
It's forgetting what it felt like.
So today we're going to dive in to a photograph that you took of your life.
You're going to live into a past memory through this photograph.
Right now,
I want you to find a photograph either that's printed around you or on your phone.
Whatever sparks joy or some profound emotion in you as you're scrolling through your images.
Or just as you're looking around the room.
When you land on a photograph,
I want you to hold it.
Look at every corner of the image.
Try to pick your favorite part of the photo.
Zoom into it.
Either with your fingers on your phone or just create that impact in your mind's eye.
Close your eyes now.
Remember the image.
Can you hear the image?
What did that moment sound like?
Does it bring a smile to your face?
Does it make you feel calm?
Relive that moment.
If you could go back to that moment,
What would you do?
Would you do it exactly the same?
Would you do something different?
It's not about experiencing something right or wrong.
It's being able to recognize the opportunities for living into your life,
For leaning into your life,
To savoring more,
To really breathing in the experience,
To really seeing the experience.
Open your eyes and look at the photograph again.
Trace around the image.
Trace around the image and really look,
Really see.
Let's see this image.
Sometimes we can look but not see.
Go beyond the surface.
What is one word that comes to your mind?
Can you pick one word that encapsulates this image for you?
What would that be?
Really sit with that and breathe into it.
Close your eyes and breathe into that word and think about that image in your mind's eye.
When we give ourselves the opportunity to linger,
To really paused,
To really see,
We imprint,
When we familiarize ourselves with the feeling that the image leaves on us,
We're able to experience more of that.
We are able to see more of that in our lives.
So in this sense,
We can manifest our memories.
We can see more of what we are meant to see,
Of what resonates with our soul,
Of what we love so much in our lives.
If we open up to really being with the moment and in the moment,
We will inherently create more of that experience in our life.
Open your eyes and zoom out of the image.
Can you channel feelings of gratitude for that experience with a deep knowing that you will have this again in a different form?
Each moment is its own universe,
Never to be repeated.
But the feeling,
The way that you're lit up by truly seeing and being in a moment that's meant for you,
The type of life that resonates with your soul and that's in alignment with you,
You can relive that over and over and over again because it is you and it's in you.
Now,
As you go about your day,
If you come across something in your life that sparks a feeling that makes you remember this image,
Take another,
Take another image.
You're on your way to creating more of the life that you want to live,
To see more of a life that you are here to see.
Your photographs are your breadcrumbs.
Your photographs are a vehicle for more.
They have the ability to hold you in your present,
To hold your vision in your past,
To support your vision for your future all while leading you back home.
