Welcome.
It's an honor to bring you this guided meditation into a body scan.
I recommend if you're able to be sitting in a chair for this meditation to find a comfortable place to sit and to have your feet flat on the floor.
When you're ready,
Close your eyes if you're comfortable or find a place to gaze into out in the distance ahead of you.
Take a moment and be in your seat.
Let your shoulders drop.
Let your feet,
Each one rest flat on the floor.
And let your spine gently stack.
And your sit bones feel the gravity holding you gently and safely onto your chair.
Shift your awareness to your breath.
Let it just be at its normal pace,
Its normal rhythm.
And when you feel ready.
Take a few deeper breaths.
Let your chest expand and let your exhale have some cleansing noise.
Feel the clean air enter your body,
Then let the air from your lungs escape.
After a few of these breaths,
Let your breath return to its normal rhythm.
Now let's shift our focus down to your feet.
Be in your feet.
Feel them resting flat on the ground.
You can wiggle your toes if that feels good.
Feel the Earth's gravity gently holding them to the Earth.
Maybe you could even imagine vines growing out of them into the earth below you.
Notice every bone.
Move through your toes to the many bones in your feet.
Your feet that are there guiding you so many places every day.
Slowly move through your feet into your heels and then your ankles.
And then slowly move up through your calves,
Through your shins,
Through the bone,
Through the muscle.
Into your knees.
Rest in your knees.
Imagine love and light in your knees.
Be in that place where the bones come together.
Notice your knees,
The muscle,
The tendons,
The bones,
And then slowly begin to move up your thighs.
Through the bone.
Through the muscles.
Then rest in your sit bones.
Feel the seat holding you safely and gently in Earth's gravity.
Be in your hips.
Imagine love and light in your hips as you slowly move through your abdomen and your internal organs.
Resting in your lungs.
Feel the air in your lungs.
Your lungs expanding,
Bringing fresh and clean air into your body.
Than escaping out through your nose.
Be in your lungs.
Feeling the natural rhythm of your breath.
Imagine light and love in your lungs.
From here,
Shift into your heart space.
Be in your heart.
Imagine your heart beating.
Imagine the blood moving in and out,
Receiving oxygen and sending its nutrients to all the parts of your body.
Be in your heart.
Imagine love and light in your heart.
When you are ready,
Shift your attention into your shoulders,
Splitting from your heart into each shoulder.
Feel where your arms are attached and let the weight of your shoulders fall.
Splitting from your heart into each shoulder.
Feel where your arms are attached.
Let the weight of your shoulders fall.
Slowly move your attention down each of your arms through your bicep and the bone,
Through the muscles,
Pausing in each elbow and then moving through each of your forearms to your wrists.
Feel that space where your hands are attached and then be in your hands.
Your hands,
With so many bones,
Through your palms and into your fingers,
Up to each fingertip.
Your hands do so many things for you every day.
Breathe love and light into your hands.
When you feel ready.
Move your attention.
Back up through your arms,
Slowly through your wrists,
Elbows,
Biceps,
Shoulders,
And back,
But meet in your neck.
Pause here.
Be in your neck,
This small opening,
So vital to your survival.
Passage for nutrition,
Air,
Your voice.
Be in your throat.
Breathe love and energy and light into your throat.
When you're ready.
Move up.
Imagine.
Imagine yourself climbing up into that space behind your eyes.
Slowly move into that space.
Notice any.
Sensations,
Colors,
Temperatures.
Take a moment here in this space.
As we are getting close to the end of this experience.
Take a moment.
And visit the place in your body that you wished you had more time.
What part of your body?
Needs more attention.
Go there now.
And breathe more love.
And energy and light into that space.
We have come to the end of this journey through the body.
We are going to begin to orient back to the space you're in.
Notice any sounds in the room.
Gently deepen your breath.
And wiggle your fingers or your toes,
Maybe roll your shoulders if that feels good.
Take a moment to place.
A hand over your heart and give yourself a moment of love and light and gratitude.
For providing yourself this opportunity to be in your body.
I hope that this time that we've spent together will help you carry a sense of peace with you as you move on into whatever you're doing next.
And as a lover of art and art therapy,
If you are someone who likes to journal or make art of some sort,
I encourage you to do a little process work in response to how you're feeling right now.
Maybe make some notes about how you felt before you started and how this may have impacted you.
You.
Thank you so much for sharing this time with me and I look forward to the next time we meet.
Take care.
