Morning is the first gift of a new day. Before responsibilities arise, pause with your first breath. Set an intention and notice your gratitude for opening your eyes, for your breath, and for another opportunity to experience this day. Inspired by the meditation Aham Asmi — “I Am,” this practice combines gratitude with stillness to connect deeply with your inner center. Sit or lie comfortably, letting your body soften. Gradually, unite your breath with the mantra: Inhale: Feel the breath expanding within. Exhale: Release, softly repeating: Aham Asmi. I Am. Rest in this stillness. Let your mind settle into the heart space, free from the past or future. This practice roots gratitude into your entire day, reminding you that before you become anything for the world, you simply are. And that is enough.
