Higher Self Meditation

This meditation will take you into a deep state of relaxation and lead you to your Higher Self, that wise and evolved part of you. This is You at your highest potential, your future self, who you are becoming. You are being your Higher Self every time you align with your soul and carry out its intention and purpose. As you embrace this higher aspect and live from this energy, your life will become more abundant and joyful. With beautiful relaxing music and the gentle voice of Barb Aasen, Psychologist, you will be taken on a guided journey to meet with your Higher Self.

Transcript

Just allow yourself to be comfortable.

Move around a little until you feel really comfortable and relaxed.

Without doing anything at all,

Just begin to notice how you feel in your body.

See whether your breathing feels tense or relaxed,

Uneven or smooth,

Deep or shallow.

Give yourself permission to move around all you want and then settle down into a comfortable,

Balanced position.

Just notice the air flowing in and out of your nose.

Then expand that awareness to include the movements in your chest and belly as you breathe.

As the air flows into your nose,

Notice what movements happen in your chest and belly.

Then expand that awareness to include your whole body,

Feeling your whole body all at once as it is in this present moment.

You breathing in and out,

Air flowing in and out of your nose,

Your body responding to that air as it flows down into your lungs and back out again.

Be aware of your hands,

Your feet,

Your pelvis,

The back of your body.

Your shoulders and arms.

Relax your jaw,

Your tongue,

Your face muscles.

Relax your whole body.

Notice how it relaxes.

Just by you telling it to relax or thinking,

Relax.

Your body is under your command.

Your muscles will relax when you tell them to relax.

So just go ahead and do that now.

Scan your entire body and if there is any tightness or tenseness in any area,

Simply tell it to relax.

As you sit or lie comfortably without any judgment,

Just watch the thoughts that are coming through your mind.

Notice how they hold your attention for a while and then they disappear to be replaced by new thoughts,

Which also disappear in their own time.

Just observe your thoughts coming and going.

Let's gently begin to quiet your thoughts.

Just as you have command over your body,

So too do you have command over your thinking.

Simply tell your mind to let go of all that thinking and to relax.

Invite your thoughts to be quiet.

Have a well deserved rest from thinking just for the next few minutes.

Now let's take another step into your heart,

Your feelings,

Your emotions.

Breathe into these feelings.

Accept them.

Let them relax.

Allow your heart to let go of its tensions and aches and pains.

Relax your heart.

This world of feelings and emotions.

Relax them.

And as you ask these to relax,

They will relax.

But just as you have done with your body and with your mind,

You can also do within the realms of your heart.

Give yourself permission to just feel good right now.

And now allow your awareness to expand a little more to include whatever sounds you are hearing.

Just let those sounds come and go.

As you breathe,

Just listening to sounds that are nearby and sounds that are a little bit further away.

And then just let go of all of those sounds as you just rest and relax and enjoy the peace of this present moment.

Feel connected to the earth.

Feeling a sense of security and groundedness right now as Mother Earth embraces you,

Holds you,

Keeps you safe and secure.

Feel connected to your Source,

God or Goddess,

Presence or whatever you believe your Source to be.

Feel honored and loved by Mother Earth and Source.

And now prepare to go on a journey through a tunnel of light,

Moving through this tunnel of light at your own speed.

As you reach the end of the tunnel,

You will see two light beings waiting there for you.

They are surrounded in light.

It is so bright.

You feel such love as you come closer to these two beings.

You recognize them as your celestial parents.

They welcome you.

We are so happy to see you.

You feel a deep warmth pouring from these two beings into your heart,

Filling your heart to overflowing with pure love,

Unconditional love.

Come,

Beautiful one.

We love you so much.

Come.

They gently pull you into their radiance and you feel the intensity of love increase and expand a hundredfold.

There are swirling colors around you now,

Like threads of energy encircling you,

Wrapping around your light body.

You are now ready to go on the next part of this journey.

Your celestial parents will lead you.

They show you a staircase that winds its way high up into some clouds.

You feel excited about where they are taking you.

You know on a deeper level that this staircase leads you into your future,

Along your divine timeline to your destiny.

You follow your celestial parents up the stairs,

Walking,

Walking up the stairs until you reach the top of the stairs.

And there before you is the most beautiful light city,

Glittering with crystals of all different types.

The colors shimmering with beauty,

Diamonds,

Rubies,

Amethysts,

Aquamarine,

So many colors.

And up ahead you see a figure walking towards you along a golden pathway.

As this one nears you,

There is a knowing within you that this is you at your most highest potential,

Your future self,

Who you are becoming.

Each person may perceive this in different ways.

You may see it with your inner vision,

Seen in pictures,

Maybe colored and moving just like a movie at the theater.

Or you may see it with your inner sensing,

Like a feeling of what is happening rather than seeing visually.

Or you may receive words alone.

All of these are fine.

Just follow your own understanding using your own gifts.

Just receive whatever you perceive with an open heart.

Use your heart to see and feel this most sacred and special being.

As your higher self approaches you,

You feel the energy growing stronger,

More powerful,

Electric.

This one looks upon you with the deepest love,

The utmost compassion and the greatest wisdom.

This is you as the highest self you can be,

Fulfilling your highest potential,

Serving the highest good of yourself and all others.

There is pure wisdom and understanding within this higher self.

It is as if this higher self has had a thousand years to develop further.

This part of you holds all of the knowledge that you need to be able to follow your path to your highest potential.

Your higher self reaches out with both hands as a gesture of love,

Wanting to connect with you.

Are you ready to feel the connection with this greater part of you?

Are you willing to reach out your hands and receive the touch from this higher part of you?

If you are ready,

Go ahead and reach out.

Embrace the hands of your higher self.

You feel the pulsing of love coming through your hands from this higher self.

It holds such power.

You feel soft and warm as it pulses through your entire body now.

Perhaps you see into your higher self's eyes and make a deeper connection.

You feel yourself loved and nurtured,

Seen and called forth into your destiny.

This part of you is charging you with vital life force energy,

Helping to direct your life,

Enabling your spiritual growth to become truly what you are capable of being.

You know that this higher self understands every little part of you,

All that has happened along your path,

And is now empowering you to become all that you can be,

Leading you with wonderful synchronicities into plans,

Opportunities,

Ideas.

Feel this higher self nurturing you,

Cherishing you,

Loving you,

And empowering you.

This is you at your highest potential,

Who you are becoming.

Spend some time communing with this wise and evolved part of you.

You may have some questions,

So go ahead and ask whatever is most on your mind right now.

Or you may just want to bask in the energy of your higher self.

Whatever you want to do right now is fine.

I'll leave you for a few moments to do that.

But you may return here anytime you wish to sit with your higher self and like a good friend talk and ask for guidance.

A simple method to make this connection is to sit and breathe deeply a few times to center yourself and then draw your energy upwards raising your consciousness up into your higher self.

Breathe and stay focused there and at the same time feel or sense in any way that works for you,

The love emanating from your heart space.

It might help to think about someone or something you love or something you feel grateful for.

Breathe this love in.

Remain still and focused upwards while also feeling into your heart.

Keep breathing and then send out a request,

Something simple like a call upon my higher self and then ask for assistance.

You can ask for an impartation of wisdom or perhaps you want your higher self to charge you with courage and to give you the ability to complete whatever task you are here to complete.

Or maybe you want help in connecting with your source.

Whatever it is,

Know that you can ask for help from this part of you anytime you want.

But for now,

Say goodbye to your higher self and if it feels right,

Make a promise to listen to this part of you more often.

To seek and follow the guidance and help this one is so willing and able to give you.

Your higher self comes from a place of presence.

It wants peace and joy and happiness in this moment.

It doesn't project into the future or look back into what has been and create stories about things that are either past or have not yet come.

Your higher self handles situations in the present from a place of wisdom and love,

From a higher place taking a higher perspective.

So now that you have made a connection with this part of you,

It is possible for you to live more fully from this space.

With every thought,

Every moment of the day,

Ask yourself,

Am I thinking from my higher self in this situation?

Know this,

All thoughts from your higher self will be loving,

Kind,

Generous and filled with lightness and joy.

So claim the power,

The wisdom and the insight from this part of you and live your life aligned with your higher self.

And now turn around and see your celestial parents standing by waiting for you.

They take you within their embrace and lead you back down the staircase.

As they walk you down the stairs,

They remind you that you have it within your power and through your intentions to bring about whatever destiny you most desire.

They have shown you your highest potential.

However,

You can choose a different way if you want.

It is your choice.

This is the law of free will.

No matter which way you choose to go,

Your celestial parents will always be there for you,

Supporting you,

Helping you,

Guiding you.

You are never alone on this journey,

Beautiful one.

Simply call upon them for help.

At times you may require the strength of a father,

At other times the softness and warmth of a mother.

Know that they are both only a call away.

You are now at the bottom of the staircase.

Your celestial parents bid you farewell and send you through the tunnel,

Back to your body,

In this room,

In this place,

In time and space.

Returning slowly to your body,

Fully conscious now,

Taking a nice deep,

Refreshing breath,

Wiggling your toes and fingers.

Taking a nice big stretch,

Waking up now,

Eyes open,

Wide awake.
