Hello everyone and welcome to today's Kriya to open and heal the lungs.
This is a beautiful Kriya that's going to combine movement,
Breathwork,
Mantras and meditation to help us connect with a deeper sense of presence and with our inner fire.
Remember this is not about perfect poses,
It's about your inner experience.
Let's begin.
Please sit comfortably in a cross-legged position if your hips a bit tired or if your lower back get tired easily I recommend using a block or a cushion this is going to naturally uplift your spine and help us breathe better Today we are going to use a special breathing technique called the breath of fire.
It is a series of quick,
Short breaths.
Through your nose with the navel pumping naturally.
It is like if you're blowing a birthday candle but with your nose.
So it is going to sound something like this.
Remember to find your own rhythm.
The breathing is active,
But always respect your body.
And if you are on your moon cycle,
If you're pregnant,
Or if it feels a bit too challenging for you today,
Simply breathe in and out through your nose slowly.
To begin our session,
We're going to use our mantras.
If you don't know the words,
It's completely okay.
Just listen to its vibrations and being present is enough.
So bring your palms together.
And connect with the mantras.
Hong.
Namokurute.
Minamo!
Om Namo Guru Dev Namo Om namo brute.
NAMO I could in a me you got good in a me Sat Guru Dev Namai,
Siddhi Guru Dev Namai.
I could add name you got good in me Sat Guru Dev Namai,
Sri Guru Dev Namai.
I couldn't name you got good enemy Sat kuret na me,
Siri kuru dev ved na me Sit in easy pose,
Hands on the shins.
Inhale as you push your chest forward.
Exhale as you round the spine.
Inhale the heart opens.
Exhale round the back.
Now gently come back to center.
Bring your hands onto your shoulders.
Inhale as you bend left and exhale as you bend right.
Remember to find and respect your own rhythm.
And gently come back to center.
Focusing on your breath.
Feeling the energy moving through your body.
And letting go of any thought that may appear right now.
On the next inhale gently gaze down the floor coming all the way up to standing We got our hands in Burimudra,
That means that we're touching the thumbs to the pinky fingers and we're going to move the arms in wide circles,
Backward circles.
If it's too challenging to keep your balance very slightly,
Open the eyes gazing down to the floor.
Open yourself up,
Expanding yourself out.
And hold that breath as you drive your energy up.
Hold and release and relax.
Now we have a different mudra.
We are closing our fingers around the thumbs.
This is the Egan Kundalini Yoga teachings.
We are moving the arms up and forward in big circles,
Inhaling up and exhaling down.
Eyes are closed and rolled up into the third eye point.
We're almost done.
Focus on your breath.
We're sublimating the ego with this mudra.
Inhaling up,
Drive the energy up from the pelvic floor to the crown of the head And exhale,
Relax fully.
This next one comes with the mantra Har Hari to awaken the creative and bring it out into the world.
So we want to step our feet hip width apart.
We're going to be bending down and tapping the floor seven times as we chant Har.
And then we rise the arms with the hands open and we say Hari,
Like a celebration.
Hot,
Hot,
Hot,
Hot,
Hot,
Hot,
Hot,
Hot.
Harit.
Huh huh huh huh Patty.
Harry.
Harry.
Harry Harry Harry Harry Hari.
Hari.
Hari.
Hari.
Hari.
And hold your breath,
Driving the energy up.
And release and relax.
Take a few deep breaths in here,
Focusing on the grounding energy under your feet.
Slowly come all the way down to sitting with your legs extended We are going to drop down the elbows and rise the legs up and bring them back down with a breath of fire.
Inhale up hold that breath and release and relax.
Feel the heart beating.
And the energy circulating throughout the body.
Now we're going to be crossing and uncrossing the legs and again with a breath of fire.
And take a deep inhale.
Hold a breath.
Drag the energy up and exhale.
Release.
And relax.
Let's take a few relaxing deep breaths in here.
Let go of everything and welcome this present moment.
Now gently come all the way up to easy pose,
If your knees will allow you.
Sit on your heels and bow the forehead to the floor.
If that is not accessible,
Stay in easy post.
Stack up some pillows or your own fist so you can bring your forehead to the floor.
Otherwise,
Arms are alongside the body and we do breath of fire here.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Bye.
Inhale and hold your breath drive the energy up and exhale fully We're gonna hold our baby pose but now we're gonna have our hands interlaced behind us.
And as we do Breath of Fire,
We are going to move our arms up and down to release the shoulders.
You Thank you.
You Okay.
And if you listen,
Relax.
Relax your breathing.
And connect and feel the energy circulating through your body right now.
Gently lift yourself up to come back to easy pose,
Hands resting on the knee.
We're going to close our practice with a meditation.
You can either be in easy pose with a spine told.
Or you shift us in there.
Laying down.
Feel the weight of the body on the earth.
Shoulders are relaxed.
Chin pulling into the neck Focus on your breath.
And let go.
Of everything else.
Bring the awareness back to your body.
Take a few deep breaths in here.
You can gently start moving your feet.
Your hands.
Your head.
And connect with this present moment.
You can stretch your body if you want.
And we're going to gently rock ourselves.
Back and forth.
To awaken the body and come to easy pose.
We're going to close our practice with the mantra Sat Nam.
Truth is my name.
Sat Nam.
Sat Nam.
Sat Nam.
