A Hindu sleep story Take a slow breath in and gently breathe out Allow your body to soften,

Your shoulders relax,

Your jaw loosens Your breath comes slow and natural There is nothing you need to do,

Nothing to think about,

Just listen and drift Long ago,

Before time had a name,

Before the stars knew where to rest,

There was only an endless ocean This ocean was calm and deep Its waters moved slowly,

Like breathing It held silence,

Mystery and ancient wisdom Above the ocean,

The gods gathered They were peaceful,

Patient and focused They knew that something sacred was hidden beneath the surface of the sea Something precious,

Something meant to bring balance,

Love and harmony to the universe So the gods began to gently steer the ocean They did not rush,

They did not force They moved the waters slowly,

With care,

With devotion The ocean began to turn,

Soft waves formed,

Glowing under divine light The waters shimmered like liquid moonlight As the ocean moved,

A quiet energy awakened Deep within the sea,

Something ancient began to rise From the very heart of the ocean,

A soft golden glow appeared At first,

It was barely visible,

Just a hint of light beneath the waves Slowly,

Very slowly,

A lotus flowered and merged The petals were wide and gentle,

Pink and gold,

Glowing softly in the night Each petal carried peace,

Each petal carried love The lotus floated calmly on the surface of the ocean,

As if it had always belonged there And then,

From its center,

Lakshmi was born She stood in stillness and grace Her presence felt like a warm blessing Her beauty was not overwhelming It was comforting,

Soothing and kind Her eyes reflected compassion Her smile carried reassurance Her energy wrapped the universe in calm Where Lakshmi appeared,

Fear faded Where she breathed,

Harmony grew She was the goddess of love,

Abundance and beauty But above all,

She was the goddess of gentle devotion Lakshmi looked upon the world with quiet understanding She did not seek power She did not demand attention She simply was And in her presence,

Everything softened The ocean grew still once more The gods bowed in silence The universe exhaled Lakshmi felt a deep calling in her heart A connection beyond words A bond that existed beyond time This bond led her to Vishnu Vishnu,

The preserver of the universe Rested in peace,

In a deep cosmic peace He floated upon the endless waters Supported by the great serpent of infinity,

Anunta When Lakshmi approached him,

The universe felt whole There was no rush,

No dramatic declaration Only recognition As if two souls had found each other again Lakshmi chose Vishnu as her eternal companion And Vishnu welcomed her with a calm devotion Their love was not loud It was steady,

Enduring,

And unbreakable Time moved forward Ages passed And whenever darkness threatened the world,

Vishnu chose to return To be reborn among humans Each time,

Lakshmi followed When Vishnu was born as Rahma,

Lakshmi became Sita Gentle,

Strong,

Undevoted Together,

They walked through forests Throughout trials and exile Throughout loss and reunion Their love endured every test In another age,

Vishnu returned as Krishna And Lakshmi became Ratha Their love was playful and deep Filled with music,

Longing,

And divine joy Through every lifetime Throughout every form They always found each other again Always Their love crossed birth and death Time and space Form and formlessness It reminded the universe That true love is not possession,

But presence Not desire,

But devotion As you listen now,

Lakshmi's story Begins to soften your mind Her calm becomes your calm Her peace becomes your peace Imagine her lotus floating gently on quiet water The ocean is still The night is warm The stars reflect softly on the surface You are safe here The lotus glows softly in the distance The ocean hums a quiet lullaby Nothing disturbs you Only rest Only presence Only gentle drifting
