Welcome.
If you're here because you're feeling anxious,
Overwhelmed,
Or simply unsettled,
You don't need to make that feeling disappear right now.
You don't need to fight it.
And you don't need to figure everything out in this moment.
For the next few minutes,
We're simply going to give your mind and your body somewhere softer to land.
Begin by noticing where you are.
Feel the surface beneath you.
Notice the weight of your body being supported.
If your eyes are open,
Gently notice a few things around you.
A color.
A shape.
The light in the room.
Nothing means your attention beyond this moment.
Just notice.
I am here.
Feel your feet feel your hands Feel the support underneath your body.
Let yourself arrive exactly as you are.
Now begin to notice your breathing without trying to change it.
Your breath doesn't need to be deep.
And it doesn't need to be perfect.
And simply notice that your body is breathing for you.
Feel the breath enter feel the breath leave when you're ready Allow your next exhale to become just a little longer No forcing,
Just a soft release.
And natural breath in.
And a slow gentle breath out again.
Breathing in naturally.
And letting the exhale linger just a little longer.
With that exhale,
Imagine saying quietly to yourself,
In this moment,
I can soften.
Again.
In this moment.
I can solve it.
Now bring your awareness to your forehead.
Notice if you're holding any tension there.
Without forcing anything,
Allow the space between your eyebrows to soften.
Soften around your eyes.
Unclench your jaw Let your tongue rest gently.
Notice your shoulders.
If they're lifted or tight.
Allow them to drop just a little.
Let your hands become soft.
Your fingers relax.
Your belly doesn't need to be held in.
Let it soften too.
Feel your hips,
Your legs,
Your feet.
You don't have to make your entire body relax.
Simply notice where you can release even 5% of the effort.
Sometimes just a little softening is enough Now notice where you're feeling the anxiety in your body.
You don't need to search for it.
Perhaps you feel something in your chest,
Your belly.
Your throat.
Shoulders,
Or maybe somewhere else.
See if you can notice the sensation without needing to name it.
As good or bad,
Just sensation.
Maybe there's tightness.
Warm.
Fluttering.
Pressure,
Restlessness.
Whatever you notice.
See if you can give it a little space You don't need to push it away.
Imagine breathing gently around it.
Creating room around the feeling.
And remind yourself.
This feeling is here right now.
But it does not define this entire moment.
There is also the feeling of your feet.
The feeling of your hands.
The support beneath you.
The sound of my voice.
The air around your skin.
Your awareness is larger than this feeling.
Now notice your thoughts.
Anxiety may bring thoughts very quickly.
What if?
What about?
What happens if?
What should I do?
You don't have to answer those questions right now.
Imagine that you're sitting beside a gently flowing stream.
Each time a thought appears.
Place it on a leaf.
And let the leaf float downstream.
You don't have to chase it.
You don't have to stop it.
And you don't have to know where it goes.
Another thought may appear.
Place that one on another leaf.
And let it move along too.
Thoughts can come and thoughts can go.
You are the one noticing the thoughts.
You are not the thought itself.
And remember,
You don't have to believe every thought that asks for your attention.
Now if it feels comfortable,
Place one hand over your heart and perhaps the other over your belly.
Feel the warmth of your own hands.
Feel yourself here.
And take an easy breath in and a longer,
Softer breath out.
Imagine that each exhale creates a little more space inside you.
You might quietly say to yourself.
I am here.
I am breathing.
I can meet this moment one breath at a time.
I don't need to solve everything right now.
I can allow this moment to be enough.
Let your hands remain there for another few breaths.
No need to repeat anything,
Just feel.
Now imagine a soft warm light beginning at the center of your chest.
Nothing bright or overwhelming,
Just a gentle glow.
With each breath,
Imagine that light expanding.
Across your chest,
Through your shoulders,
Down your arms,
Into your hands.
Let it move through your belly,
Your hips,
Your legs,
All the way to your feet.
And upward through your throat,
Your face,
To the top of your head.
Imagine yourself surrounded by this soft light,
Supported,
Grounded.
Present You don't need to know what happens next.
Right now,
You only need to be here.
One breath.
One moment,
One step at a time.
Begin to notice the room around you again.
Notice the sounds.
The temperature of the air the surface beneath your body.
Feel your feet.
Feel your hands Maybe gently move your fingers and toes.
Take one comfortable breath in.
And slowly let it go.
Before you open your eyes,
Remember this.
You don't need to wait until every anxious thought disappears to find a moment of peace.
You can create a little space even in the middle of uncertainty.
And whenever anxiety rises.
You can return to your body,
Return to your breath,
Return to this moment.
You can carry calm with you without needing to know what happens next.
One breath.
One moment.
One step at a time.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Thank you for taking this time for yourself Namaste.
