Hello and welcome to this grounding heart-centered meditation.
I'm Angela Lim and together we can walk through this process and it's a meditation which really just enables you to ground yourself when you're feeling a little challenged or overwhelmed or feeling a little stressed.
This grounding meditation has helped me many a time when I have found myself in situations that have been just a little overwhelming and stressful and I've been able to just do it for a couple of minutes and it's able to bring me back and self-regulate myself and also just find that peace and calm that I was in need of in that moment.
So if you're ready I invite you to take a moment to just find a comfy chair or a comfy place where you can just sit and be for only a couple of minutes just to go through this grounding meditation and before we begin let us take some sighing breaths just to let go of those tight shoulders and loosen that little jaw that's tightening up every time we feel a little stressed or feeling challenged.
So here we go,
Let's take a deep breath in,
Pause for a moment and then exhale.
Let's do another one,
Let's breathe in,
Pause and then just exhale and release it out.
And now just feel your feet firmly on the ground connecting to that part of you that is connecting to the ground,
To Mother Earth,
Just feeling that feeling that you're fitting into the chair and just feeling a little nice and comfy and cozy.
Okay,
Let's begin.
As you feel the connection between your feet to the ground,
To the floor,
To Mother Earth,
It's that sense of connectedness that connects you to nature,
To that part that is always there and is always available to you if you are willing and open to connect.
And in this connectedness our heart tends to feel an openness and in that openness we say to our heart,
Hello heart,
And we feel that connectedness between our heart and the ground and Mother Earth and nature.
And in the space of connected openness to the heart we become aware that we are slowly feeling more grounded,
More centered,
More open,
More connected to that which is far greater than we can ever imagine.
And when we're feeling the centeredness,
Connected awareness,
We place our hand on the heart and we feel that warmth,
We sense that glow,
We feel more connected to the energy of the earth.
And in this moment we hold this for ourselves and for others.
And in the space of connected,
Open-hearted,
Awareness,
Centered,
We hold this and we enter back into the day a little bit lighter,
A little bit more ourselves.
And when you're ready I invite you to gently open your eyes and have a look around what is in your space.
