And begin by just taking three deep breaths,
Letting go of everything before and after this meditation.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Breathing in and breathing out.
And breathing in and breathing out.
Acknowledging our intention,
That which has brought us here today.
And letting the mind rest and be at peace.
And we'll begin by thinking of a person,
A companion,
A friend,
That we have a strong sense of loving kindness for.
Maybe holding a baby or a puppy.
Maybe a friend or a family member we haven't seen in a while.
Just visualizing this companion smiling in front of us,
Happy and content.
Knowing that this companion wishes the best for us.
We now begin to direct this loving kindness inwards to ourselves.
May I be happy.
May I be well.
May I be safe.
May I be peaceful and at ease.
And breathing into this.
And as we breathe in,
We let our breath encompass this loving kindness.
And then we begin to send it out to all those we will come in contact with today.
May everyone I interact with be happy.
May everyone that I interact with be well.
May everyone that I interact with be safe.
May everyone that I interact with be peaceful and at ease.
And expanding this circle of loving kindness even further.
May all those that I do not come in contact with today be happy.
May all those that I do not come in contact with today be well.
May all those that I do not come in contact with today be peaceful and at ease.
And finally expanding our loving kindness as wide as the entire universe.
May all beings across all times be happy.
May all beings across all times be well.
May all beings across all times be safe.
May all beings across all times be peaceful and at ease.
And may it be so.
