Hello,
Beautiful soul.
And welcome to this meditation that will take you less than 10 minutes.
This meditation is perfect for when you are feeling touched out.
Mentally overwhelmed or on the edge of losing your patience.
It is okay.
To feel.
These feelings.
Today we are just working on noticing the sensations that we are experiencing.
And we will be showing ourselves.
Some compassion and kindness.
You are worthy of this time.
Take a deep breath in with me.
Right now,
The world is demanding so much of you.
Voices,
Touch,
Noise,
Schedules,
Questions.
It is completely natural.
For your nervous system to feel full.
To feel like your cup is overflowing with sensory importance.
In this short window of time.
We are going to build a calm,
Spacious sanctuary inside your mind.
I invite you to close your eyes and to drop your hands gently onto your lap.
Palm up or palm down,
Whatever you prefer.
Is more grounded for you.
So you find a comfortable seated position or you could lie down.
Wherever you are,
Just allow yourself to be present in the moment without fear.
Judgment and without judgment.
Labels.
I invite you to imagine all the demands,
All the noise,
The hyper-vigilance of your day.
Taking the shape of static energy around your body.
Right.
Buzzing,
Fast-moving energy surrounding your body.
Now.
Picture an invisible,
Warm glass dome surrounding you.
This dome.
Between you and me.
And the fast-moving energy.
You are creating a barrier.
Inside the stone all the sound becomes soft.
And distance.
Outside this dome,
The chaos can stay for a moment.
It doesn't need your attention right now.
Bring yourself into the dome.
I invite you.
To imagine this protective layer around your body.
To be a color.
That you associate with stillness and peace.
Imagine this color surrounding you.
It is nice and close,
But not close enough.
So you feel suffocated,
But just close enough to your body for you to feel protected.
In the stillness.
The spice.
Breathe in.
And breathe out.
As you breathe in,
Imagine you are inhaling this color of calmness and peace.
And as you exhale,
Imagine this calm and peace radiate just a little bit further from your body.
Allowing the dome to increase in size.
Your body is safe inside of this dome.
This dome has been created to keep you safe.
With every breath in,
Feel your internal space expanding.
You are expanding your capacity to hold life without breaking under its weight.
Inhale space and as you exhale,
Feel and see the noise moving further and further away from you.
You can breathe here.
Just keep breathing normally.
Inhaling spice and exhaling noise.
When you feel overwhelmed.
It isn't a sign that you are failing as a mother.
It is simply your nervous system saying,
I've hit my limit.
By taking this pause today,
You are actively increasing your threshold.
You are retraining your brain to realise that small moments of stress do not require an emergency response.
I invite you to repeat these quiet anchors in your mind.
Letting each one settle deep into your chest.
I am allowed to take up space.
I respond with calm.
Rather than urgency.
My peace and filling my cup benefits my entire home.
My peace and filling my cup benefits my entire home.
I am allowed to pause.
I am safe.
I am strong.
I am enough.
Let these words quiet the hypervigilant alarm within you,
Mama.
Feel your heart beat steadily.
Calmly and securely.
You are not just surviving your motherhood.
You are learning how to regulate through it.
That is true strength.
As we bring this meditation to a close,
Place one hand over your heart.
And one hand over your belly.
Feel the gentle rise and fall of your body.
Feel the warmth of your own touch.
Take a full,
Deep inhalation.
And exhale completely.
Releasing any remaining tension.
Any remaining stagnant A.
Any remaining sensations that do not serve you in this moment.
Whenever you feel overstimulated,
Remember this quiet space inside your glass dome.
It is always here.
Just one deep,
Slow exhalation away.
When you are ready.
Feel free.
To come back into the present moment by gently bringing energy back into your fingertips and toes.
Gently opening your eyes.
And if you'd like.
I invite you to take a gentle stretch.
Just do what feels good for your body right now.
You've done it,
Mama.
You've taken a moment for yourself.
I am so proud of you.
Thank you for joining me in this meditation.
Light and love be with you.
