Hello and welcome.
My name is Alex or Alexandra and I'm going to be guiding you through your meditation practice today.
To start you can find a comfortable seat either on a chair or on the ground.
You can sit with the spine long stacking head neck and shoulders above the hips.
Palms can rest either face up or face down on the knees.
If you'd prefer you can lie down.
Palms can rest face up by the sides or they can stack on the belly.
Close down the eyes and begin to take several deep breaths.
I want you to imagine that you are sitting in a field of flowers.
The sun is shining,
The sky is blue.
You can see fluffy white clouds dotting the expanse above you.
The field is bordered with lovely lush green trees.
You can hear the gentle breeze whispering through the leaves as they rustle.
You're sitting on the cool grass allowing it to cushion your body.
As you look you notice all of the different vibrant hues that surround you.
Flowers pink,
Purple,
Blue,
Small and delicate intertwining with brilliant yellows and vibrant orange.
Small dots of red scattered throughout the field.
You simply enjoy this view and as you breathe in you can smell the wildflowers perfuming the air.
The air is warm against your skin,
The earth is cool but not blow you.
You can hear the humming of bees in the distance as they make their way from flower to flower.
The grass is lush and tall lending a beautiful soft green background to the wildflowers.
You can see white flowers,
Purple,
Pink,
Every color of the rainbow surrounding you.
Some are vibrant and bright and others are soft and pastel.
You're simply resting here enjoying the beauty that surrounds you.
You look up to the blue sky and you watch the clouds drift by fluffy white.
Know that thoughts will drift in and out of your mind as you meditate and that's okay that's perfectly normal.
Just allow them to drift by like the fluffy clouds in the sky without trying to attach onto them or grab onto them.
You simply come and go and you just watch from your field of wildflowers.
You can feel the earth beneath you supporting your body as the breeze gently tickles your skin.
Every breath you breathe in smells wildflowers,
Fresh air,
Greener.
You can hear birds in the distance singing,
Chirping.
The wind continues to play through the trees and the grass.
You're resting here in this idyllic clearing.
Simply enjoying the sounds of nature,
Feeling the sun against your skin.
Enjoying the spectacular show nature puts on with the wildflowers.
So many sizes,
So many colours.
Resting here and I will call you back when it's time to return.
