Meditation with music. Dancing in the uncertainty brings a chance to find calm and even joy in the ever-changing nature and world around us. Especially in times of high anxiety and fear, confusion and with so much unknown, finding this space where we can release into the dance, helps us to move in our lives with lighter steps and a wider heart.

Take this moment.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Let your breath be natural.

In and out.

Feel the breath come into the lungs and fill the chest and stomach.

Feel the breath leave the lung moving through the stomach,

Chest,

Throat,

Mouth or nose.

Now as you breathe,

Feel the heart.

Feel your awareness in the heart.

It's easy to see this uncertainty that is ever present as overwhelming and to turn away,

To raise our defenses,

To distract ourselves from being uncomfortable.

There is one truth of nature.

Nature is change.

Constant change.

The breath comes in,

The breath goes out.

Winter into spring,

Into summer,

Into fall.

The sapling into the tree,

Into the decaying log.

Are you still breathing in the heart?

Energy is nothing new.

It's the very way of life.

Breathe in and feel that.

Life is this dance.

There's always motion.

Shifting energy rolls emotions.

Breathe out your expectations.

Breathe out your excuses.

You don't have to carry them anymore.

It's so hard to dance with all this extra back-end.

Breathe in and feel.

Sit with these emotions that arise.

Watch the conflicting feelings.

Gently give each its audience and then gently release it.

Our challenges are not easy.

We are called to act in new ways.

In the heart,

We are aware of such great compassion.

Breathe in and feel that.

Breathe out and release.

We are not here for comfort.

We are here for growth,

For life.

This discomfort is here to be felt,

Experienced,

Calling us to hear its message,

Calling us from where we are to invite us to remember who we are.

Life.

Worrying about our challenges will not relieve them.

Our energy is needed for our action and our healing.

Why give away our energy to anything less?

To dance playful and focused with life requires this breath and this one.

To dance playful and focused with life asks us to be empty of everything but the pulsing rhythm of uncertainty.

Come back to the heart any time during your day.

If you find yourself spinning,

The heart can be a guide star,

A reminder of the connection you have to life,

To friends,

Family,

To nature,

To life.

This breath is a gift.

Breathe in.

There is such strength in you.

Breathe out.

You are beauty.

This breath is the dance.
