Welcome.
Get comfortable and let your body settle gently.
You do not have to force peace.
Just let yourself arrive here one breath at a time.
Take a slow breath in and exhale softly.
Again,
Breathe in and let your shoulders drop as you breathe out.
Today's scripture is from Philippians 4,
6 through 7.
Don't worry about anything.
Let that rest over you for a moment.
Don't worry about anything.
Breathe in gently.
Breathe out slowly.
Instead of carrying everything alone,
Let this be your invitation to bring it to God.
The fear,
The pressure,
The what-ifs,
The heaviness in your chest,
The thoughts that keep circling.
As you breathe,
Quietly pray,
Jesus,
I give this to you.
Inhale,
Jesus,
I give this to you.
Exhale,
I do not have to carry this alone.
Scripture tells us to bring everything to God in prayer with thanksgiving.
So right now,
In this moment,
Simply talk to him.
You might say,
Lord,
I am anxious.
Lord,
Calm my mind.
Lord,
Hold me steady.
Lord,
Be my peace.
Now take one more slow breath in and breathe out.
Picture the peace of God surrounding your mind and heart.
Not a fragile peace,
A guarding peace,
A steady peace,
A peace that comes from Christ.
Rest here for one more breath.
Inhale slowly.
Exhale fully.
Let this be a reminder,
God is near,
You are held,
And peace is possible,
Even here.
Amen.
