A Poem Encouraging Magic In The Every Day

In this poem, I transform my ordinary day as a mother into an epic adventure; dog walks become 'striding with wolves', seeing clients in my therapy practice is 'sewing up fraying heart strings' and 'refocusing cloudy eyes'. Our humdrum everyday responsibilities can become magical when we use poetry!

I wrote this in response to my son always asking "What did you do today, Mummy?" on our walks home from school. This is for all caregivers of children whose extraordinary devotion is often overlooked.
