Dear souls.
Today,
I wanted to have a conversation about gender.
When we die and return to the sky,
There is no such thing as gender.
I'm not really sure why everyone here is quite obsessed with it,
Why it is used to assign value,
Why it is used to assign worth,
Why it is used to assign competence,
Why it is used to assign responsibility.
Why is it used to separate?
Why is it used to divide?
Why is it used to repress?
Why is it used to justify?
Why is it used to show fault?
And why is it used to show dominance?
Does that mean you can't be proud to be a woman?
No.
Does that mean you can't be proud to be a man?
No.
Does that mean you can't be proud to identify as either?
No.
Does that mean you can't be proud to identify as none?
No.
It means as humans,
We must do better.
We must not allow it to be used as a weapon.
We must not allow it to divide and try to conquer.
We must not allow it to be our downfall.
Stand up.
Speak up.
Act up.
Inaction is consent.
Dissent is action.
We need that now more than ever.
