The Natural Healer.
This meditation is called Just Three Breaths because you can change your state of being anytime throughout the day by using just these three breaths.
We will practice each of the three breaths three times,
So in the end it is actually nine breaths that bring you to a state of calm and stillness.
However,
Throughout the day,
If you only have a short moment,
Three breaths is enough.
Find a comfortable seat whilst I explain the three steps or the three breaths.
I suggest you sit in a chair with your back supported and your feet flat on the floor,
But you can do this lying down or even standing.
Get yourself comfortable.
The purpose of the first breath,
Step one,
Is to acknowledge what you're feeling and let go of what you don't need to hold onto right now.
Step two,
The second breath,
Is to ground you in the present moment.
And step three,
The third breath,
Is to move forward with a sense of presence and support.
Let's begin.
Wherever you are in your breath cycle right now,
Exhale.
Step one,
Breathe in,
Feel what you're feeling right now.
Let the feelings be there without judgment.
Breathe out,
Release and relax.
On your next breath in,
Sit with what you're feeling,
Even if it's uncomfortable.
Let it be there.
Then breathe out to release and relax.
One more time.
Inhale,
Allow the feeling to be in your body,
Acknowledge it,
Whatever and wherever it is.
And then exhale,
Let it go.
Release what you no longer need to hold onto.
Step two,
As you breathe in,
Ground yourself,
Feel present,
Feel your feet connected to the earth right now.
Breathe out,
Feel the strength of the earth supporting your whole body.
Next inhale,
Breathe up through your feet,
Feeling your connection with the earth.
As you exhale,
Feel the earth connection consolidate in your body.
Feel the earth's foundation and strength in all the cells of your body.
One more time.
Inhale,
Connecting to the earth.
Exhale,
Consolidating your presence,
Integrating with the solid foundation of the earth.
Step three,
We will reverse the direction of the energy by breathing in from the universe.
But before we do,
Take one or two interim breaths as you begin to feel the universal energy around you.
On your next inhale,
Breathe in through the crown of your head,
The aetheral energies of the universe and guides that surround you and protect you.
Exhale,
Let all that energy flow,
Feel it wash down over you,
Mingling with the energies present in your body.
On your next breath,
Inhale through your crown,
Feel the presence of your ancestors and your guides that support you from other realms.
Exhale,
Feel that energy move down into your body,
Out through your feet to connect in with the earth.
One more breath,
Inhaling from above the support and guidance of your ancestors,
Spirit guides and angelic beings.
Exhale,
Everything's connecting and consolidating inside of you,
Earth and the universal energies.
Now return to your normal breath.
You are the vessel that holds both the earth and universal energies together,
Strengthening your body,
Mind and spirit.
You now have all that energy to take with you for the rest of the day.
